Bhop & Bar (Bridgton House of Pizza) — Restaurant in Bridgton

Have not been here since before covid, will not be back. Walked in and the heat was a lot, too much to be able to eat inside. Asked to sit outside and that was not a problem, there was a light breeze but still cooler outside than in, even though it is the summer, sad.

Ordered a couple pizzas and an app. While waiting we had to fight off the June bugs, oh well. The server came out about 20 minutes after ordering to tell us it will be a while for the pizza as they are backed up, ok, she said our app should be out anytime.

The app came out about another 15 minutes after that..... and was a much smaller serving size than it should have been. Then about 5 minutes after the pizzas were at our table. Apps come out fast NOT with your main.

The pizza was not what it use to be, frozen ready made crust from sysco I bet. Tasted like a dry stale french bread, no flavor. I was shocked to see this, they use to make their own crust and it was good pizza all around.

The worst part, the flies! The minute the pizza hit we were swarmed by flies, not house flies but the green colored ones that fly around trash and garbage. Felt we had to hurry up so they would not get in the pizza.

The outdoor dining area would be perfect if they were to screen it in, they already have the awning.

Rickys diner use to be across the street and was awesome breakfast & lunch food for years! then they started using prepared frozen food and it closed within a year......The same thing will happen here if you keep using the frozen ready made dough. Fix / upgrade your AC so people can sit inside and screen the patio!

So the service was less than desirable, the gal who was waiting on us wasn't very good, she didn't understand what we wanted to order like we would 2 of that beer and not another one of these beers and she returned with one beer because she did not understand what we ordered which was pretty simple... I asked about a salad that was on the menu and she didn't know the Ingredients of so we ordered a couple of pizzas while she was asking about a salad thinking, let's get the pizza going so my boys wouldn't have to wait on my behalf while I was waiting for her to return with the answer to my menu question... so she comes and I order the salad after we had already ordered a couple of pizzas thinking my salad would be out right away, umm no. My boys got their pizza and about 20 minutes later I have to ask where my salad is thinking how can this be other than not maybe ordering it, I don't know but eventually, after my boys are done with their pizza I get my salad.. well my antipasto salad was another issue, big strips of green peppers and red onions some twirly meat and cheese thing with huge chunks of peppers and onions and not enough lettuce to even cover the bottom of the bowl, also ordering oil and vinegar for my dressing all I got was oil and another 5 minutes to get regular vinegar, not the traditional balsamic or red wine just plain distilled vinegar.. all in all, I wanted to like this place because is close and the pizza was good according to my boys, definitely not ordering anything but the pizza here...

I recently went to grab a meal with a fairly good size group of six people. When we arrived it was busy, so we asked how long the wait was and they said 15 to 20 minutes. Everyone was amenable to that. We were asked to move to the lobby where we would be out of the way. I walked to the other side of the room where the lobby was and went off to the side to ensure we were not interrupting the flow of customers coming up to the takeout counter. There were multiple elderly people in my group, so there were some chairs that they sat down on. One of the employees rushed over to explain that we were not allowed to sit there as it was her boss's area. It was not an office or separate room. It was literally an empty table. Disappointed, we stood up and moved over towards where the takeout counter was, which was much less convenient for the store and us. At this point we had been at the restaurant for about 10 minutes and the woman we had spoken to originally came over to explain that she anticipated the wait to possibly up to an hour and a half to be seated. This was not an acceptable weight and I really wish they had been honest and up front. We ended up leaving without food and wasting our time. I highly doubt any of us will be back again. I found the woman who was conversing with us very condescending and she lacked any type of customer service skills that I would have expected for a scenario such as what we...
