Good Sunday morning. This is our second time here, and I really want to give them a five-star review. Unfortunately, today’s experience was not as great as the first. We drove an hour to come for breakfast based on our first experience. They were moderately busy, with only a handful of tables open, and the two booths that were open had not been bused. We decided to take one of the booths, knowing it still needed to be cleaned. We were greeted shortly after, and the waitress was pleasant. All went great until shortly after our food arrived. I had ordered Jake’s Breakfast, which came with a biscuit and gravy. This is when our visit went bad. I actually measured the dish of gravy, which was 3 oz., barely enough to cover half of a biscuit. When I asked for more, I was told this is what they serve and that I could order an additional side of gravy for $2.99. I immediately expressed my displeasure and said no thanks, followed by, "I will definitely leave a review." This review would have dropped to a 2-star rating, but the waitress did bring me more gravy at no charge. Thank you, by the way, for doing the right thing. Yes, I did leave her an appropriate tip. I most likely will return, and I hope they can find a way to serve at least 5 oz. of gravy to all their...

I stopped in on a Friday afternoon expecting a normal family restaurant meal. What I received was nothing short of spectacular. I love stopping in family restaurants once a week and trying different locations. I was in Ravenna did a search for nearby Family Restaurants and this popped up in the map.

I made the short drive and there was plenty of parking available. As you enter the facility it is dated the chairs and tables are old but in good repair. I sat and was greeted quickly and received my coffee.

I ordered steak and eggs that came with home style potatoes and toast. My order was out in about 15 minutes. When I order steak I always eat everything on my plate before the steak to give it a bit more time to rest.

I ordered medium rare and it came out the perfect temp. The meat was tender juicy and superbly seasoned. This steak rivaled any you might order at a fine dining restaurant. I would have easily paid $50 for that steak. To my surprise the entire meal, less my coffee was $13.49 worth every penny.

The chef that cooked that steak should be cooking steaks for a fine dining restaurant....

Why eat at a commercial restaurant, when you can eat at a local family restaurant? The food was delicious, our waitress Tess was so accommodating and kind with a great attitude. There was a small mistake made with my eggs and the very friendly cook came out to apologize personally after correcting the mistake. The food was delicious.

THAT IS WHY WE EAT LOCAL. THAT IS WHY WE SPEND OUR MONEY ON FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSES to give back to your neighbors, friends, family or simply to the roadside strangers who make you feel at home.

I gave 5stars because of who I was lucky to have taking care of us, but it should be 3stars because of the three waitresses who spoke very loudly about their personal problems and the conversation bled into how busy they were at work, and I learned way too much about them then I wanted to. They seemed to be complaining about the success of the business which isn’t what any small business needs. Small businesses need go getters and people who speak highly of the establishment they work for. Period.

Sincerely, Your...
