Durham Delicatessen — Restaurant in Bristol Township

I ordered a half ham half turkey hoagie tray. I brought it home had company over when I put they tray out half of the hoagies had cheese I asked for American cheese. I called the next day after having to leave company at my house to go buy cheese I felt rude. But when I called Durham deli spoke to the manager her words were what do you want me to do? Give you half a pound of cheese? I wasn’t calling for a refund or free food. I was just calling to let them know that they forgot cheese on half the hoagies. They could not find my order slip as I’m holding it in my hands it states American cheese. I don’t care your busy my time is just a valuable a simple I’m sorry, I’ll make sure they double check orders would have been fine. I have never had any problems before but honestly an apology goes along way. How you treat others is how your going to be treated. I’ll just go somewhere else for trays. Small little deli with lots to choose from. It can get very chaotic in here as far as ordering because there is no ordering system or calling people by numbers. The staff can also be very rude if you have questions or if it is your first time there. For one chicken sandwich on a Kaiser roll it was almost $6 and then I got another sandwich that was closer to $7.00. Delicious chicken salad and deli meat, but I just wish the staff weren’t so rude.

*update: I’ve been here a few times now and this is what I noticed. The line inside is always so long because the people behind the counter are attending to call ahead orders instead of the people in front of them. They have people waiting inside the store for a while without getting service. Once you do get service,the staff is extremely rude and tries to rush you. They do not answer...

The staff ruins this deli. Rude, ignorant can’t even be polite asking for your order, what chuwant? Or whatchu gettin? Really? That’s customer service . If u hate your job that much that you have to be ignorant, find a new one. People pay alot of money for lunch meat,you could at least be polite. Doesn’t take much, and goes a long way. Oh lord and if you ask for thin cut they really get ignorant. moving that blade must take a lot of effort. They will shred the hell out of it.
