Other than missing a few items that were out of stock, it was.an amazing experience! Chris (Daniel) was my delivery guy and he was excellent, and more!!! He brought in my freezer and all my food during a tropical storm!!!!! And he had to bring ot all the way down my side yard and into my back yard and into my storage building (she-shed) in the POURING rain!!! I felt so bad for him!!! But he maintained a professional and courteous demeanor and smiled the whole way through! He explained the freezer use to me and packaged everything so neatly. He was fabulous!!!! And then Courtney has reached out to me about the missing items and sent me an alarm for inside the house to monitor the freezer for any problems. That lady is also fantastic!!! I feel like I have a new friend when I talk to her!!! Great customer service. With the quality I'm enjoying in the meats and the amazing customer service from everyone I have encountered thus far, I am looking forward to a lasting relationship with Pasanante's!!!!! Thank you and well done!!!

Sold on the time savings and amount of food but was very much misled. The amount of food that was delivered will not make it 3 months, let alone 6 months. Adding to mention that I was never told the cost of the freezer. See pictures. I was told I needed the freezer due to food only being delivered every 6 months. That the food would not fit in my current 2 freezers. This was a flat out lie. It absolutely would and there was no reason to even try and sell me a freezer. They are charging me $4600 for a $300 freezer. What this company does is criminal. The sales person was pushy and completely non transparent. Do not do business with this company, it is a scam.

I emailed customer service a week ago, to give them a chance to deal with me prior to leaving this review. Your first order will be perfect, after that expect what you see in the picture below. This is a consistent problem with their steaks. One of the steaks pictures is from Passanante's, the other two are from Walmart. The first time we made a complaint, one of their reps called and tried to explain the steak is brown due to oxidation. The rest of their food isn't bad, just don't waste your money on the red meat.

Passanante’s is a predatory company with poor communication, worse customer service and lack-luster product.

We signed up for Passanante’s services in November 2022 following my already disabled husband’s cancer diagnosis and before his scheduled [cancer] surgery as protein was becoming an increasingly critical part of his diet. We were sold on Passanante’s quality, their Guarantee for complete satisfaction, promise for superior customer service and convenience, and that this would “save us money and time.” Select proteins did meet our expectations—ground beef and chicken breast—with all other food falling significantly short, especially with regard to cost, and non-existent customer service.

At the initial meeting, our Sales Professional, Morgan Scott, was pushy. We asked him not to bother cooking for us and to by-pass the presentation so we could collectively get straight to the menu with an explanation for my husband’s condition. Morgan partially agreed and cooked only the protein thereby leaving us with dirty dishes and mixed veggies despite our multiple explanations that my husband is allergic and we didn’t want them. Morgan declined for the presentation, however, and continued to push well into critical periods of low-energy. By the time we placed the food order, it was already quite late and I was exceedingly concerned my husband would require medical attention in the form of a hospital and/or ambulance. Then came the freezer insurance presentation. At this point we felt pressured and that we were past-the-point-of-no-return so blindly agreed, only comforted by the false confidence of the Passanante’s Guarantee.

After the first three-month order in 2023, I had already been forced to donate plasma because of the high bill. I had communicated my concerns to Morgan and been repeatedly told credits would get sorted and “it would be fine.” I then had to jump through hoops for the appropriate credit.

Specifically, our Sales Professional, Morgan Scott, directed us to Beth Ennis-Miller even though he had stated he would previously assist. Then, Beth, declined to coordinate for a credit via email (writing) which is highly suspicious. After finally scheduling a call and connecting via phone, the initial credit was issued.

Third, following my husband’s cancer surgery, Morgan declined for an electronic order and was then a no-call no-show for said order.

I was still donating plasma and disappointed, so did not even want to pursue another order. Passanante’s instead went around me and scheduled directly with my husband. I reluctantly agreed to give Morgan another chance to make things right and, at a minimum, collect the remaining portion of the order we were dissatisfied with for a final credit since their Contract is written in a such a way that only they can determine a credit. It was at this appointment that I didn’t even want that Morgan was a no-call no-show further cementing our collective dissatisfaction.

Fourth, after harassing phone calls from Beth and following another surgery, I emailed Beth on 7/25/24 asking for the credits to be applied again and requesting written communication. Still, nothing.

That is until I was served just before Christmas 2024. Despite no written response from Passanante’s, they cited an appalling $5,546.44 balance. As of today, 1/27/25, Passanante’s tried to settle for an insulting $3,500, has failed to provide any delivery receipts (excluding 11/18/22) and has continuously declined to provide credits.

In short, I cannot even recommend Passanante’s for neither their ground beef nor chicken. I simply want the appropriate food credits and warranted credit from the freezer insurance applied towards the food so, if there is even a balance due, I can settle that accordingly just as I have been trying to do for a considerable period-of-time.

EDIT 1/30/25: Issue the appropriate and warranted credits to see if "non-payment"...

First I would like to say that so far the meats and veggies that we have received from Passanantes is top notch quality. We have loved the food that we have received from them so far (we got our 1st delivery almost 2 months ago). The delivery went smooth and they set up our freezer and food taking all trash with them. So for that I would 100% give 5 stars.

The reason i am giving 3 stars on my review today is because of the freezer that we purchased with our food. The rep certainly did her job in telling us what a great deal it is. She said our food would be heavily discounted for purchasing the freezer and explained when purchasing the freezer it COMES WITH the warranty that she explained to us which included parts, labor & servicing if something breaks is included as well as if we ever have a power outage & the food spoils they would cover it HOWEVER she did not explain to us that we would be paying handsomely for that warranty along with the accrued interest (interest was to be expected). We were never told exactly what freezer we would be receiving just saw pics of an upright freezer from other customers posing with it. So I was expecting a commercial freezer for the price. Once we received it, I decided to look it up online. We are paying $5103 for a freezer that cost $699.99 at Best Buy. The reason we chose this food service is to hopefully save money on groceries since they are so expensive & for our family to eat healthier meats. If it was explained to me that we would be paying over 7 times for a freezer just so we could have a warranty that we will more than likely never use we would have opted out and paid the extra $141 a month for our food. To me this seems like a way for the company to make some extra money. They have a great sales pitch to really make it seem so appealing but there is ALWAYS a "catch". That is their "catch"

I called and spoke to a rep and asked her to explain it all to me but she just sounded like she was reading from a script. Just kept saying oh well its for the warranty dont you have your receipt. When I mentioned $5103 is expensive for a freezer she says "its over 6 months and we discount your food which will help pay for the freezer". I didn't hear im sorry the rep wasnt clearer about pricing or any type of compassion towards the way I was feeling about it. The only thing I got in the end was a lot of repeating the same thing about discounts and food pays for the freezer and she will let management know. In that moment I felt like my 19 yr old self that just graduated boot camp and A school and went to the dealership to buy my first car by myself, so proud and got taken advantage of by a salesman that added a bunch of extras/warranties on that I didnt need for his benefit.

Im writing this review bc I want to let future customers know about the ACTUAL price of the freezer which is a total of $5103 bc you WILL be paying for the warranty they speak of and that you can just purchase that same freezer from Best Buy for $699.99 if you'd prefer that.

Aside from that with being a customer for almost 2 months I've loved their foods but im not sure how long I will continue with their service bc of this experience. I dont like the feeling that ive been ripped off or mislead. I can understand a slight markup and interest but paying an extra approx. $4300 seems cruel in this day and age where there is so...

We stopped at a booth at a holiday festival and filled out a raffle for this company. A few days later they called for an in-home demo and offered free meals in exchange for a 30 minute presentation. Seemed fair and like something we would actually consider using. The gentleman came right on time (which I appreciated) and was very kind and very detailed and clear in his presentation. He made a good pitch. However, what was promised to be a 30 minute presentation took an HOUR and a HALF. I hate when my time is disrespected. Beyond that the free food that was shared was ONE chop, ONE chicken breast, ONE burger patty, and ONE small bag of veggies. There are two people in our home. Honestly now. Then he proceeds to thaw the veggies and the burger and COOK them in our kitchen without even asking - just sort of helped himself. It was all so uncomfortable and awkward. It felt like the pitch was designed to take advantage of people's inherent politeness. I hate when salespeople take advantage of the foot-in-the-door technique. Finally he gave us the price - only after I brought up the fact that I have work to do and he had gone an hour over at that point. What he offered was MORE than what we pay for ALL our groceries presently for JUST THREE MEAT servings a week. I calculated it out and it would have made each serving $10 - in other words - $20 for each meal and that is only for the meat! Outrageous. When we clearly weren't going to make the sale in the moment you could tell he was upset and became more short - not hiding his frustration. Commenting that he drove over an hour to attend the visit. I am the last person to not appreciate the work sales people put in to their trade, but you win some you lose some. That is part of the process. After reading reviews here and Yelp (especially after they noted in the presentation how bad the reviews there were) I knew there was no way that we would be using their service. I don't understand how economically this could make sense for anyone, but to each their own! I would not recommend even taking them up on their offer for an in-home visit . If I weren't a more direct person (I even went in to my office to do work while he was cooking to make a point) I am confident it could have reached 2+ hours. If people were less assertive than I am I can see a person being bullied in to a purchase quite easily. And the cherry on top is that the meat was nothing to write home about. The veggies were CERTAINLY no better than any other frozen veggies we have had. Overall waste of an hour and a half - for us and the salesperson. I feel badly that the company doesn't offer him a better product to promote and isn't more honest what to expect because it really was...
