Hollywood Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Broadway

Need less to say.... everything at Hollywood Pizza is made fresh. It’s a small pizza joint in town of Broadway NC. If any reason to where you were dissatisfied, it was because that’s the way people eat what they have ordered. However on that calzone comment..... the calzones at Hollywood, are normally prepared with bacon ham mozzarella cheese. After being baked, Hollywood’s traditionally calzone put fresh cut lettuce and tomatoes and a side of marinara sauce. Never ricotta cheese ( once again only if requested). So with that being said .... if you were dissatisfied.....it was because of what the client had ordered and lack of acknowledgement of what the place has to offer. So if you felt like you were ripped off.... it’s not like the $5.00 pizza places uptown where you get frozen dough n toppings.. with that being said .... although the sign just says pizza and subs. There’s way more on the menu such as pastas,salads, burgers, wings, and fried food plates. I definitely would encourage everyone to try it. And ask questions if your not sure what and how certain items are prepared. Prices are very reasonable and economically convenient to where they deliver around town. New to the area, so not sure what’s considered good pizza here. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza. It reminded me of Dominoes consistency and taste. Large looked to be a 14” pie. They also have XL. My wife ordered a pepperoni calzone and it came with sausage also which she doesn’t eat. We also ordered a small pizza with anchovies but received a Stromboli with anchovies. So I’d say order accuracy isn’t so good. Folks I dealt with were certainly friendly. We’ve also had subs here. I’d prefer a roll with a little crunch but what I had was...

We got 2 cheese calzones and 2 pizzas....yuck!!! The calzones were “pizza” bread, which was heavy and gummy with a touch of paste and sits in your stomach like a rock..... yes, I did eat some of it. I was hoping it would get better....it didn’t. They through some cheese on this bread, cooked it, then folded it and called it a calzone. Nope, that is NOT a calzone!

I also got a pizza.....same heavy bread, the the pizza was not edible either. Go to the grocery store and buy a frozen pizza...
