Update #2: Upon picking up my order today (June 2024) and paying with a gift card, the cashier had me type in the entire 16-digit number and 4-digit code on the keypad rather than swipe it. She said it was a new change. I had been there a week earlier and swiped a gift card. What kind of primitive system is this? It's bad enough that you cannot use a gift card when ordering online if it's a timed order. They sure don't make it easy or convenient to use their gift cards.
Update #1: When I picked up my order today, the female employee had me swipe my never-used $25 gift card twice, saying it didn't take on the first swipe. When I got home and checked the balance, I learned the amount was deducted twice. I called the store and a male employee was apologetic but said I needed to call the local office; he gave me the number. I called and left a message. In the meantime, I emailed Domino's gift card department, which replied with an apology and said they'd forward my concern to Customer Care.
The next day, Customer Care replied and said they forwarded my concern to the franchise owner. This is a lot of hassle and time wasted trying to fix their error. Also, it's absurd that in the 21st century, one cannot use a gift card to pay when ordering online. It said gift cards can only be used in-store. Had I been able to pay online with the gift card, this entire overcharge fiasco would not have happened.
I did not receive a callback, nor did the franchise owner contact me, so I called the same local number a few days later. A staffer told me that the duplicate charge would be added back to my gift card in a couple days and that this second charge is just a phantom "hold," which happens every time when using a gift card or even a credit card. If this is true, that's a really stupid system.
What if I had wanted to use that same gift card later that day for another purchase? It would not have showed enough balance to use again, and I'm supposed to wait two days for this "hold" amount to be added back to my gift card? And if this in fact also occurs with credit/debit cards, can you imagine if you paid $40 for an order and had $80 deducted from your debit card, causing an overdraft, and you're supposed to be OK with that?
First review: Despite the negative reviews, I gave this Domino's a try since it was the one nearest my home and other locations also had mixed reviews. Haven't ordered from a Domino's in probably 20 years but wanted to take advantage of the 50% deal this weekend.
I placed the order online at 10:45 a.m. (they open at 10:30). Scheduled pickup at 11:45 a.m. It was ready when we arrived a few minutes after the pickup time. There was only one young man working -- making all the pizzas and manning the register. I give him credit for doing what must've been a difficult job on a day when they were likely swamped because of the 50% off deal.
The pizza was very good, just as I remember it being all those years ago. We'll give this Domino's another try. It seems many of the problems relate to delivery, and that could be due to a shortage of drivers. I'm just glad that my experience was...
Read moreFor what it is, they do a decent job. It's "fast food pizza" but the quality has been consistent in recent years and there are frequent deals that make it a really good value for dollar. While it's not gourmet, there's a lot of customization with their sauces, crusts, and toppings so I think they're worth consideration if you've got a lot of people to feed and there's a good promotion going on at the time. As far as the actual location, no complaints. I only ever pick up so I can't speak to delivery but it's always ready on time and things seem to run smoothly over there. I don't notice any red flags and the employees don't seem miserable or anything. I personally like their hand made pan pizza. It's the standout of their offerings, for sure. It's very good. Otherwise, I enjoy the garlic Parmesan sauce instead of pizza sauce paired with the Philly steak and jalapenos on the hand tossed or new York style crusts. The thin is fine but not super filling so I tend not to bother. We have ordered the gluten free before and it's not bad. It's good they offer it and their recipe is reasonably crispy without feeling super dry or...
Read moreI recently ordered a Veggie Pizza and Parmesan Bread Bites from Domino’s, and both were absolutely delicious! The Veggie Pizza was perfectly cooked with a crispy crust, generous toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. The mix of onions, peppers, mushrooms, and black olives added great flavor and freshness to every bite. It tasted freshly made and wasn’t greasy like pizzas from some other chains.
The Parmesan Bread Bites were a great side—warm, soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside, and coated with just the right amount of parmesan and seasoning. They paired really well with the marinara dipping sauce and were super addictive. I’d definitely order them again.
The ordering process was smooth through the app, and the order was ready right on time. The staff was friendly during pickup and the food was hot and neatly packed. You can tell they take care with preparation even during busy hours.
Overall, a great experience with Domino’s. If you’re in the mood for a flavorful vegetarian option and some cheesy, garlicky bites on the side, this combo won’t disappoint. Will definitely be returning for...
