Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Brookhaven

Genuinely save yourself the time, money, and overall headache and just drive the extra 9 mins to the Aston location. I had high hopes for this place since it was built brand new and I’ve had the worst experiences all 3 times I’ve tried to give it a chance. Placed an order for pickup? Prepare to still sit in your car for 40 minutes while they make your order. Ordered through the drive thru? Prepare for them to tell you to “pull forward and we’ll bring it out” just to sit there for 30 minutes while your order sits on the counter getting cold, and you still have to go in and get it. Went inside and placed the order in person? Be prepared for them to give you entirely the wrong order and act confused when you come back as if your correct order isn’t right there on the receipt. The food is decent but the WAIT. We placed an order online and arrived to the restaurant. No one was in the drive thru before or after us when we just arrived. They gave us our drinks and told us to get off the drive thru line and to wait at a stop sign. (I assume that was to make their time stats seem better). I timed them because I had a feeling it will be long. There were 6 cars (I also counted) that arrived and left with their food before we got ours. It was exactly 20 minutes before I reversed my car into the driveway and got our food. The drive thru attendant did not say a word(no joke). She did not apologize or confirm my name. This place is ripping people off if they order a single spicy chicken sandwich. They up the cost of it telling you it’s because it’s spicy. But if you buy it in a combo or anywhere else it’s same price as a classic. The charged me basically $12 for 2 classic with cheese. A 5.49 sandwich and that’s correct. But the charged me almost $15 for same thing but spicy and even the menu board says it’s 5.49 each plus cheese cost. So basically I got charged $1.50 per sandwich more because I asked for spicy. What a rip off. Think about how much they make off customers doing things like this to 100’s of people. Never at a Popeyes have I been charged more for spicy till this place.
