Route 352 Diner — Restaurant in Brookhaven

I've been here several times now. It's a bit of a trip from where I live, about 15 minutes with no traffic, but most of the time there is traffic. nonetheless, this place is great. they have delicious waffles, great omelettes, onion rings and chicken and fries, burgers, soup, all the good stuff most diners have. the service is good, they're always very polite. Bathrooms available, clean. There's some booths and some tables with chairs. A full salad bar! Most of the tables have a hook to hang your coat(s), a board with business cards and flyers by the front door (I don't know about you, but I like to give these a glance, you never know, you could discover a cool local event or a contractor you need). The food is fantastic. If you ask for something well done it comes out well done. The chef does a fantastic job. There's a gentleman that works the dining room who is such a gem. He makes us feel warm and welcome and has a great personality. It's so nice to see him when we go there. I always go there with my husband but recently I took my aunt there and she loved everything. There was only one thing that was a little bit disturbing. And that was that the girl with the blonde hair with braids actually unbraided and rebraided her hair right in the dining room. It was in the corner table where all the week staff hangs out but that should never be done on the dining room floor. That's all that's my two cents. Thank you for being there. If I could give 0 stars I would. They give terrible service all the time. I always order out and they have me standing for 5-10 mins just to order pancakes and a side. They don't give me receipts, only after do I know why is because they charge gratuity without me knowing. Their food, portions, and substitutions for certain things are ALWAYS inconsistent. It's either under/over cooked and little to NO seasoning. Prices seem to very person to person, whoever is working that day. Will NEVER go there again. Disgusting and disloyal people. Couple of weeks ago one of the servers boyfriends would hang around the Plaza and talk to the girls working at the diner, domino's, whatever. He would hit on the girls and make them feel uncomfortable (I used to work there)....
