I had to take my son to CHOP ER and on the way back to drop my mother off we decided to stop at Tom Jones to see how it is was since the new owners. Well this place has hit they dumpster hard. Back in the day this place was great. Now it was remodeled, the dining room looked decent, and new owners, well you think it would be better. Nope. The bathroom was still like it was years ago and had a horrible stinch. The waitress was decent but couldn't give me good answer what was good to eat. Since my son was starving we ordered his 1st. My son ate his food and we were waiting on ours. It was taking to long and needed to get my son back home to go to bed and get some rest. He had the kids spaghetti and meatball. The meatball was the size of a golf ball. The sauce tasted like it came right out of a can and not even seasoned, plus instead of draining the pasta, it was thrown on the plate and had water on the bottom. So me and mother took ours home. I had the buffalo chicken melt, which was chicken strips, hot sauce, mozzarella and blue cheese on a Kaiser. Well guess what for $8+ dollars I was ripped off. There was barely any hot sauce, no blue cheese and tge roll looked like it was smashed. I could of done it better and cheaper. My mother had a burger melt and asked for no onions, guess what onions on it. I got a creamy crab cake on the side. Waitress told me it wasn't as good as it use to be , well it was ehhh. I WILL NEVER RETURN. The day new owners took over that is when the iconic Tom Jones died. Folcroft Diner...

The first time we went in years it was pretty good so we returned. That was a mistake. The huge sign by the front desk said in big letters "We have Chili!!!" We were seated and got our drinks but it took the one and only waitress there quite a while to come take our order. When she did my husband ordered the chili and she says "I don't think we have any, hold on.....goes to kitchen....nope no chili". While he re-thinks his order I order the wings and French onion soup. He decided on the Tex Mex burger and asks for it with no bun and if he can get the fruit cup instead of fries (fruit cup is on the menu) she inform him they don't have a fruit cup. Whatever, give me fries then. So finally the order is in. It took half an hour for my soup and the wings to come out. We shared the wings because my husband was starving. They were pretty terrible! They had no buffalo wing flavor and were soggy. The soup was ok. About 30 minutes later as I'm already done everything I ordered, his burger finally came out and it was a totally different burger. Not the ingredients the Tex Mex burger came with. At this point we are nearly 2 hours in and my husband was fed up and just threw it in a box. We had other things to do. We were hopeful with our first experience but after the second we will not be back. 1 hostess, 1 waitress, and 1 cook is not sufficient for a...

New owners seems to hire people who can't cook food thoroughly, asked for the blue ribbon which came with sausages and they were raw, after asking for more cooked ones they brought the same thing back to me.

Butter on the the toast tastes like movie butter which is not as appetizing as it sounds, after the 2nd slice of toast you're going to feel sick.

Influx on the price for the blue ribbon is disappointing as well, you're getting the same exact dish but worse tasting, not worth $7.

Been going here for years with my grandmother and family and you're not going to see a lot of the same faces there. The long time customers that always went there; the elderly, refuse to go back due to all the changes and garbage food.

Crab cakes are not the same as they used to be, they changed them to something odd tasting. The one good thing ruined by new owners.

I don't mind the renovation but they even didn't even do a 100% job on that, you still have the same dirty rug that's been there since the 1990's, the one thing that needed to be changed. Everyone who was asking for a new menu obviously are the ones to blame for all the price influxes..for shame on...

You're not really from Delco if you've never eaten at Tom Jones! Born & raised going to eat here with family before, after & actually FOR special occasions...or just because it was always good food for a decent price. When the pandemic hit a year ago I didn't realize how bad it would hurt my heart to drive by & see no one inside. Thankfully they're back, under new management & better than ever!! The newly renovated inside has all the safeguards in place but still has that "home" feeling. Wait staff is friendly, funny & fast on their feet to get you what you need. The food is a bit more expensive but serving size is still generous & delicious. Even curbside/takeout (whatever you wanna call it) containers are filled to the brim with tasty goodness. Looking forward to more flavorful family meals for the next forty years+.

Despite new ownership, Tom Jones is still Tom Jones. The new owners have kept almost all the old staff and are introducing new menu items daily. Tonight's special was Lasagna, Salmon, or Grilled Chicken Caesar salad. Yes, a salad at Toms. The table behind me got the Lasagna. She took half of it hone the serving was that big. It looked delicious. I'm anxious to see the changes that will be made and see how the old will blend with the new on the menu. They will be taking plastic soon too. I've been going to Tom Jones for 40 years and am planning on going for awhile longer. It's that good.
