I had to change my review from 6 months ago from 4 stars to 1 or 2 (being generous)! Yesterday I went to the Brookhaven location when myself and many other customers were disturbed by an extremely loud commotion we looked around to see where it was coming from. When we saw where all the loud arguing was coming from (2 employees) where about to physically fight. They were nose to nose yelling at each other. I went up to the cashier to ask for a manager to complain about their very unprofessional and aggressive behavior and the cashier said I am a manager. I asked if she saw and heard the near fight in the produce isle she said no, I was on break. I told her what happened and she gave me a blank look and said, did you get hurt or something??? I thought What! Wow!!! I said no but I have no intention on shopping in an environment like this & if it ever happens again and I am in this store I will call the police, since no one cares. She said, I am very sorry but they are both managers also! Wowww!! I am on the register and I am sorry I can't do anything now!! I was so outdone...as hard as jobs are to come by, you show absolutely zero concern for your customers! There were parents trying to usher their kids away. I said to one of the managers don't give people grounds to complain. She replied, I don't care what anyone thinks and yelled "Hey everyone in the store, called out the other managers name and called her something, which I didn't hear because I was too busy gasping at the whole scene!! Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been shopping at the Brookhaven Aldi for the past 11 months because it's the closest location to where I live. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, Iāve decided I will no longer shop at this store and will instead make the trip to other Aldi locations further away.
The reason? One male checkout employee whose behavior is consistently rude, aggressive, and confrontational. I go to Aldi to save money, not to end up in shouting matches with staff members. There are four checkout counters in the front (five if you count the one in the back), and the standard practiceāboth here and at virtually every grocery storeāis that customers line up in front of any open register unless there's a clearly marked designated line. There is no such designation at this location.
Despite this, this employee took it upon himself to loudly and aggressively reprimand customers for following a practice thatās been accepted and unchallenged for nearly a year. Even more frustrating, when we complied with his impromptu ārules,ā he remained hostile and unprofessional.
What makes this even more disappointing is that the rest of the staff at this store have always been friendly and helpful. I genuinely feel bad for them having to work alongside someone who clearly has no regard for basic customer service or respect.
Unless this issue is addressed, I will not be returning...

Make sure you have a quarter if you need a shopping cart. You get it back, but you'll need one to get your cart.
There are also 2 things that I just can't get past after going since last year. The first is that there is never, and I mean never a guarantee that the product you planned on and have bought for weeks or months will be there again or ever. It doesn't matter what kind of product either. Good luck getting what you need. It's gotten so bad we are changing where we shop. It took a lot for me to say yes to that.
The second is that if you have any concerns or questions for your store, there isn't even a phone number to call. You have to go to the store, or call their corporate number. It is drastically inconvenient when some situations arise. We live over 10 minutes away from this one. We don't always have that time to go just to ask a question.
I would have given 1 star if the quality of the products weren't as good as they are for the price. But it's not enough to keep me as a regular...
