8/30/25- Out shopping for our date day and where to eat on the way home. The Alamo! Sat right at the bar with Cameron. Great personality, absolutely on point with when to check on us ... Could not believe only a few months as a bartender! Great Job!! Had some laughs. Ordered the Barnyard burger made to order! I cannot have the brioche bun and Cameron was happy to remove it for me. I had the collards and slaw too! You can indulge in tasty food at the Alamo even when you are on a restricted diet. Delicious! Say thanks to your Chef.......if it was not for them...... Date got the Rueban he was super pleased!

My first experience being in a restaurant since the Pandemic. The hostess was very accommodating to my request for a private area. We were seated behind the shuffleboard table. Beautiful view. Very open. Very clean. Great environment. Our server Tessa was very personable and professional. We ordered a lot of items to try. The chef did a great job making some changes for us. The Nachos were so good. The burnt ends melt in your mouth tender but had that bark too. I'm guessing the collards are authentic. I love them. Had a few Chambord and lemonade drinks at my request. Boyfriend had the burger. It was magazine worthy. We definitely had a ton of leftover food. I'd say for the amount of drinks and food I expected our bill to be more. We definitely will be back.

Ty Tessa you made my experience fun.

NEW VISIT 7.22.2023 We stopped in again after a day of shopping. Our 9 year anniversary why not indulge at the Alamo. Had a fried chicked sandwich and shoestring fries piping hot. I asked for extra crispy on the chicken and it was and still moist!. He had the burger plate and loaded tots. Of course we get those amazing nachos everytime. I did have a few Foams. Add cherries and oranges and boost that IPA up! Kendra was our server at the Bar and she really let us enjoy our celebration. She was wonderful; great personality and shes a keeper for the Alamo!!! She was worth half our bill as a tip!!!! Thank you again Alamo for making our dates the best time!!!!!...

My husband and I stumbled upon this place on the way home from a family overnight trip in MA. Saw it had 4.2 stars so decided to stop for lunch (1/25) around 12:30. We were the only table aside from a group of men that seemed to be owners or something and there was a photographer there taking photos of dishes. The hostess and server were nice and the atmosphere, though empty, seemed somewhat fun. We ordered drinks and the pickle spears which came out fairly quick and the pickles were delicious. That’s the extent of our enjoyment. It took forever for the rest of our food to come out despite being the only table. The photographer was getting dish after dish and it seemed they were concentrating more on that than getting our food. I had the pulled pork plate with coleslaw and potato salad. The pulled pork was fine but cold. The potato salad was gross and the coleslaw was mediocre. I opted for the jalepeno cornbread which came as a 1.5 in square and was stale and hard as a rock. My daughter had the kids Mac and cheese with fruit and the noodles came out bare with the smallest bit of cheese sauce on the bottom. No flavor whatsoever. My son had the kids pulled pork sandwich with fries which was ok….probably the best meal out of the 4. My husband had the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. Again, bare noodles with soupy “cheese” sauce on the bottom. It came out hot but he said it was not good and he NEVER complains. I usually don’t leave negative reviews as I try to just give praise where praise is due but if this is the norm at this place, then I have NO CLUE how it could have such good reviews. I have never had a worse meal and especially with the high amount it cost and we ended up throwing away the leftovers. We don’t live near the area at all and I would never consider going back. What a waste of money, especially in this economy. If it was because they were more concerned their food photographed perfect, then I would recommend making sure the food was great for your actual...

They should rename this place “NH Boiled Meat and Tequila Bar,” because there’s absolutely no flavor. If you want real BBQ, do yourself a favor and head to B.T.’s Smokehouse in Sturbridge, MA — hands down the best BBQ spot in New England.

I gave this place a try since it’s close to where I live, but honestly, it was a huge disappointment. If you like BBQ with zero flavor, this is your spot. I moved here from Texas a few years ago and have been trying different BBQ joints across NH. Based on the reviews, I had high hopes — but I’m shocked people actually consider this BBQ.

Brisket: On a flavor scale of 1 to 10, I’d give it a 1.5. There’s a faint hint of smokiness, but that’s about it. It tastes like something cooked on an electric smoker with just a trace of smoke added. Real BBQ from an offset smoker hits you with that deep, rich, wood-smoked aroma — even from outside the restaurant. This place has none of that.

Sauce: I tried both the house sauce and the ghost pepper sauce. The house sauce was one of the worst I’ve ever had — I literally had to spit it out. The ghost pepper sauce was better; I liked the heat, but it still tasted processed and the texture was off. Honestly, a bottle of Stubb’s BBQ Sauce from Walmart has more flavor and depth — and that’s saying something.

I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews, and maybe some of their other menu items are better, but “Alamo,” “Texas,” and “BBQ” shouldn’t be anywhere near the name of this place. It’s misleading and, frankly, a shame to...

We had some advice not to go here since they said it was good at one point but has gone downhill. It was close and we had a long drive ahead of ourselves so we decided to try this place. I am so glad we did. The food was delicious. I had the full rack of ribs and added sauce at the table and had a few meals out of it and I still want more because it was that good. My husband had this awesome sandwich. I would visit again if it wasn't too far from home. The brisket chilli was really good with a slight kick. We liked the house bbq sauce so much we got some to go. So I added it to my meatloaf as u can see, it was delicious as well. Service was great as well. I recommend this place. Enjoy!

Food is very good. A bit on the expensive side but worth it. Large and diverse menu incase someone doesnt want BBQ. Great drink selections. Atmosphere is nice and inside is very "texas-y". Service was a bit slow. The hostess made us wait in the lobby for 10 min to "give her servers time to catch up" even though there were lots of clean and set tables available. Like... why not just let us sit down and let us wait if the server is backed up? Instead us making us stand up and loitering in the lobby area. Anyways... would recommend still maybe dont go during busy times. We went at 1:30 in the afternoon and still had a wait.

We went here today from MA and I think we found a great BBQ place! Our food was perfect, the brisket was fatty (thanks to our server, she was awesome and listened to our orders so carefully!) and the overall atmosphere was lively. We would be back soon; only complaint is the terribly small “loaded tots” (and small cornbread size as well). Come on guys, you are charging $7 for tater tots, the plate needs to be bigger. But overall, absolutely loved the place. Oh and yes please have the Burnt Ends WITHOUT sauce, so that my Texan wife can try it next time. Good BBQ should not need sauce 🤗
