4 Noses is Noice!
Finally, our last brewery stop to celebrate our time in Colorado. Emily has a fond spot for 4 Noses and it was only a mile or so away from our last stop, so we headed that way. As we pulled up, the parking lot was full with lots of cars parked along the street. I guessed everyone was here for the gym that was next door but nope… there was an Asian food cart outside and a geek trivia night going on inside.
Emily and I had enough of crowds from the Beer Fest and Renaissance Festival so we placed our orders at the register where you walk in and headed outside once we got our beers. I got the Noice! beer that was an island lager and sounded good after a string of hefeweizens. Emily got her usual fruit beer and we sat outside in the beer garden area. This outdoor area had the misting things built into the structure and it felt nice. While it was a bit breezy and getting later in the evening, the cooling effect was welcomed after a long and hot day.
Like a lot of bars and breweries (and even coffeehouses), there was an assortment of games inside to play. On my way back from the bathroom, I snagged Exploding Kittens to try and play with Emily. The condition of the cards were super rough. They seem like they’ve been played every single day and the instructions were half missing. I didn’t remember fully how to play so we gave it up.
We sat there and sipped our final brewery beer for awhile and reminisced on the trip. Our last final adventure would be to finish up our beers and head out for some sushi rolls for our final meal here in Colorado. I’m not doing a blog post for that place but I can say that it was beyond delicious.
4 Noses was a pretty interesting brewery. While I only really got to experience the beer garden, I could see why Emily was fond of it… from the goofy name to the vibe and feel of the place… I could see myself coming here for some drinks and maybe even joining in on the nerdy...
Read moreBest beer in Broomfield and definitely one of the top of my list in the Denver area! Came here the 2nd or 3rd day they were open and its gotten better! Unfortunately, after 5 years, the cracks are starting to show. They have great beer but some issues I have are the following. It's always way too crowded in here, and dogs run the place. I don't mind the dogs but a lot of the owners don't handle them well (letting them sit in the middle of an already crowded walkway is the most annoying). Another thing is that im one of those parents that brings his kids to breweries because I still have a life. This place, however, even though lots of babies and young kids come here, doesn't have a wallmounted changing table/area in either bathroom, so the floor is what you get. Lastly, as far as the actual beer goes, I used to be quiet impressed with their new beer but have been disappointed for the last couple years. They have great flagships (bdt, perfect drift, whimpsy, raspberry blonde), but I've noticed that most of their new release beers are just slight variations in their flagships (double dry-hopped bdt, citra/autumn/summer whimsy, raspberry blonde with blueberry, etc...). Occasionally you'll get something brand new (a few collabs), but nothing like...
Read moreMoving from Denver out to the burbs. 4 noses beer is awesome! They seemed to have quite a few sours, which are my favorite. However, the -3 stars is for the service we had. The beer tender who served us on October 2nd was condescending and not helpful. The menu is large and the pour size options abound. The tasters option was complicated and expensive, with different levels of beer costing different amounts for the flight. Normally, beer tenders offer help in ordering for new customers overwhelmed by the large menu. No help from him, he just acted like we were wasting his time. It was not a busy night at all, so this seemed extreme. I only ordered one beer because I didn't want to go back inside and talk to him. It definitely cut our night short. Also, he scolded me at the bar and on the patio about what I was doing wrong with my leashed small dog. I didn't realize you can't pick them up when you order at the bar, or have them on your lap on the patio. I'm very happy to follow the rules, but the way in which he told me the rules was very rude. This is not a typical Colorado brewery experience. It's made me hesitant to go back, even with the temptation...
