Incredibly infuriated with the self wash visit we had. We took in our Siberian Husky, who was a rescue and survivor of mange, in to wash him. We had concerns about the products available in the tubs because of his past mange issue, and were assured that they were deep conditioning and would be fine. It most definitely did NOT get past his undercoat and left his hair looking fried. One of the female attendees was very helpful and after giving some advice mid-wash, assuring us to "take our time". We were incredibly grateful for this, given that he is a Siberian Husky, and did all we could to wash him to some sort of standard given his dilemma. Afterwards, after approximately 4 minutes on the blow dryer, a male employee came in with undertones of an attitude and informed us that people were waiting on the self wash area and the time limit was 30 minutes. Though this time limit may be in response to COVID-19, the dog dryer we were using and the tubs were more than 6 ft away, and we were both masked; we saw no reason another customer couldn't begin to bathe their dog while we frantically tried to get our heavily coated dog dry. This was especially upsetting considering how much time we had spent trying to wash him correctly as we had been told to take our time. He came in a little while later and said we had to leave and we were way over time limit. So we had to take our Husky, still sopping wet, risking medical injury due to molding and potential for another skin condition, out of the store. We are now trying our best to get him dry as we do not possess as strong of a blow dryer as dog grooming establishments do. We are worried for his health and are considering not returning...
Read moreLazy! Zero customer service! Ugly and choppy cuts! Visible cut on her skin! The groomer was instructed to not shave our dog. We were very specific that we did NOT want a shaved body with long hair on the head and tail. The groomer acknowledged our request played with our dog and took her back. We came back a few hours later to pick her up. My wife was getting out of the car when I was inside. When they brought out my dog I literally began to burst out in laughter! I said, "my wife is going to flip out. This is exactly what we asked you not to do." My wife came in with shock and horror on her face. She did not make a scene but rather said she was shocked and asked how we were supposed to proceed. We were told that we need to come back monthly and that her hair would grow back in about 4 months. ... that is all winter that my dog will be without a full coat. ... thanks. They showed no remorse that they intentionally ignores our requests. We received the explanation that they simply did not want to brush out her mats and that it will be easier for them to simply shave her entire coat. I would have expected a phone call to ask our permission to shave...

I don’t say this lightly, but when I say I trust them, I trust them. Every time we step foot into Urban Dogg, we instantly feel like we’ve returned to our little urban dogg family. Koley is an absolute grooming wizard and angel rolled into one. Our pup Rigatoni — aka Riggie — is a squiggly, wiggly, curly-haired goldendoodle with boundless energy, and somehow, Koley manages to send him home looking flawless every single time.
The grooms are consistently top-notch, and I swear Koley has the patience of a saint and the hands of an artist. They’re quick, the pricing is incredibly fair (especially considering the talent and love they pour into every appointment), and the whole experience is just joyful from start to finish.
The adorable bakery section is always a hit — Riggie practically drags me to the treat case — and the toy and treat selection is spectacular. While Koley is our go-to groomer and a rockstar, everyone we’ve interacted with at Urban Dogg is so welcoming, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do.
We’re beyond grateful to have found this place. Five stars isn’t enough. If we could give a thousand tail wags,...
