Go Fish has some of the best sushi I've found in the Denver metro area. The Broomfield location is housed in an unassuming strip mall storefront location, it might be easy to dismiss as "just another sushi restaurant" until you step inside to find a friendly, comfortably stylish restaurant. Its second location, on Broadway in Denver, has a more "edgy" feel that fits with the younger "millennial" neighborhood where it's located. Although the feel of the two restaurants differ, what really counts is the quality of the fish and the service. Both are outstanding. In addition to being absolutely fresh and top grade, the sushi is beautifully presented and a pleasure to both behold and eat. The serving staff is friendly and attentive. In particular, I was impressed that the servers and chefs are very aware of gluten-free requirements. Their sushi menu is highlighted to indicate all ingredients in their rolls that contain gluten so that you can make informed choices. They'll modify rolls, if possible, or suggest alternatives to eliminate gluten containing ingredients. They even have a gluten-free alternative to Wasabi (yes, the typical Wasabi paste served with sushi contains gluten). In addition to the excellent fish, Go Fish has an excellent selection of sakes and excellent desserts. The tempura cheesecake will blow your mind and the gluten-free chocolate cake was incredible.

Final final update: will not be coming back ever. Philadelphia roll shrunk to smaller than a size of quarters and the rainbow roll looked like it went through a shredder. I only have gone back this far as it was the only place around Erie with sushi, and sometimes I don’t want to drive to Denver or Boulder. But no more, I’ve had it. Update- As prices skyrocket and sushi quality does not- I cannot find myself coming back. Attached is a picture of the 4.50$ spring rolls. Fork for size. The sauce for the sr was siracha… ok? Man they were small. 2 persons of sushi 110 bucks :0 Sushi is great. But fix your phone!!! Seriously. It's been broken for more than 4 months. Every time I call its either busy or sounds like you are talking from a tin can on a wire. Trying to order or check on space table availability is a nightmare. Also, please add more descriptions to your website ordering. I don't want to have to guess how many pork buns are in an order. I don't want to question what the spring roll has in it.

I love go fish, I am a frequent customer. I’m only giving two stars because of the server Jesus who served me today at the sushi bar. He made a mistake on my order- which was fine. He asked me if I wanted to keep the food or not and what I wanted to do. I politely said what’s the protocol? He said if you want it off your bill I need to take it back- which is also fine with me! I was offering him the plate back and instead of taking it, he came out with gloves and leaned over me while I was eating my other sushi and was scooping the roll off my plate. I told him he was making me uncomfortable, I asked him to just take the plate and remove the sushi in the kitchen-He didn’t. When he was finished I let him know that it’s extremely bad etiquette to come out with gloves removing food from someone’s plate while they’re eating. I couldn’t believe it. Besides this server making me feel so uncomfortable, this place is easily 5 stars.

This restaurant comes up as a gluten free options for Westminster, CO. I vaguely recall that the Denver location was excellent for a person with celiac disease - the menu was clearly marked, the servers were knowledgeable, and they even had tamari on hand.

I ordered from the Broomfield location tonight and will never do so again. The online ordering form offered the option to have my chirashi prepared gluten free, but it came with two ingredients that I know nearly always contain gluten: kani (fake crab) and seaweed salad. For those who don't know, the overwhelming majority of seafood salad for sale in the US is made in a single factory with conventional soy sauce (containing wheat) as an ingredient. There are a few places who may make it themselves, but I've lived in three different regions of the US and I've encountered one.

Unfortunately, my spouse and I made it all the way home before realizing these ingredients were present. I called the restaurant and confirmed that the kani is one of gluten free types, but the seaweed salad is not gluten free. The individual on the other end of the line did not seem to understand at first that if gluten-containing food is in contact with gluten free food then it is not safe for celiacs, which is almost as big a problem as the cooks themselves being unaware of which foods contain gluten.

In the restaurant's defense, they did substitute the miso soup I requested with salad (then left the salad dressing off) because of the gluten free request.

The dish was remade, but we did have to go all the way back to the restaurant for it. I would urge celiacs to avoid this place. My spouse enjoyed their meal and the remade one tasted fine, but it's clear that the staff isn't knowledgeable on the topic of...

Imagine, it's Valentine's Day, this is your go to sushi place, you haven't been in a couple months, it's show time. After grabbing some chocolates and a card, you go to Go Fish and ask the front desk for a reservation, DING the idea of having the chocolates and card waiting for you at your table pops up! But wait, you always sit at the sushi bar for the ultimate experience! Here goes nothing, you ask the wonderful staff at the front if you can get a spot at the sushi bar and if they can have your provisions waiting for you at your seat, they said yes! It may not be a whole lot, but it's a big ask for the staff to go above and beyond, you're hoping they pull through. 5:30 comes around and you're waiting to be seated, your partner is doubtful they'll be able to seat us at your normal spot because there's approximately 1.5 million people in there (that may be an exaggeration). Finally, the staff calls your name, you're ready to be seated, you see the chocolates and card at your spot, your partner is oblivious, after all, it was a miracle you even got a spot. The staff seats you and your partner sees the chocolate and card placed neatly at your spot, (she didn't cry, but man was it close!). The waitress was attentive and spot on with your orders, (given the chaos enshrouding the place, its basically a miracle) the dates over, but no doubt you made an impression. Last step, mochi to go, because you want desert but you want to be fair to everyone else, they dropped a "I love you!" card in the mochi. Best date ever, how did you pull it off?! Easy answer, you couldn't have without the great staff at Go Fish! Will you be back? Damn right you will! Great job Go Fish staff! You made it all...

If there were a Zero star option I would have selected it, I had ordered 4 Sushi rolls for takeout and waited over an hour to get my food. The hostess/server who was at the front was completely rude, and short with me when I first got there I wasn’t sure how to check the status or know when my take out order would be ready. I approached a younger brunette server who answered “you’ll know if the food is ready by looking at the counter, if there’s food there, it’s ready” then stormed off, which didn’t really answer my question. After a half hour of waiting while asking for a status update on my order she almost became frustrated with me that I would ask such a thing. She stated “it should be ready in about 5 minutes” then stormed off again. It became closer to an hour my frustration we’re near a boiling point I had asked her again what the status of my order was and again she stated 5 minutes, I then suggested (after waiting an hour) what I can do to cancel the order she grew more frustrated with me and ran to the back to cancel my order......Worst customer service ever!!! As I followed her back to stop her from cancelling my order that I had wasted an hour to get, I was approached my a male bartender or Manager who was actually pretty nice he offered drinks and a place to sit inside and made sure my order would be completed, within 4 minutes I finally received my food. It wouldn’t have been such a bad experience if the server were more polite but after everything the sushi was underwhelming not worth the money, the frustration or the wait, I for one will NEVER give this excuse for a restaurant my...
