La Hacienda Authentic Mexican — Restaurant in Broussard

I ordered a Margarita over here let me just say I called first also three times the Second time the employee that answer the phone hung up on me I simply asked her how much was the drinks for margaritas & was it happy hour still?? she told me it was happy hour I said OK be there in one or two minutes my mom lives right across the street anyway Went there the employee ask me what I wanted I told here 2 margaritas I also asked what flavors they had of my drinks I remember the medium drink she told me over the phone and when I got there which I got was 7.99 i paid so I got 2 margaritas it’s happy hour so the price is 7.99 it was a Saturday I got a notification Sunday from my bank that The order was now 14.70 The employee that took my order gave herself a five dollar tip which I did not right on the receipt I have on camera on her telling me the price of the drinks I repeat I did not give her a five dollar tip she wrote on the receipt I went back to the store Sunday the manger told me that he was the one that put the tip in but let me just say it was rude of him not to open up the door for me after he put the open sign up but anyway the manager gave me cash but the 5$ back but it’s stupid to give it back when you already getting the 5$ back because I paid by cash app which my account was 5$ negative I would never buy...

We walked in and waited several minutes to be seated. It wasn't very busy. The lady who sat us acted as if we were a burden to be there, sat us at a booth, knowing we had a baby, to where a high chair would have blocked the walkway and be at the back of a lady with another party, although most of the dining area was vacant. She did not offer a high chair. My husband and I sat for a few minutes with the baby between us when a woman came and sat chips and salsa on our table. My husband asked if we could get a high chair. She ran off saying she spoke no English so I asked her loudly in Spanish. She sat one at our table... or kinda slammed it down midstride. We waited again for several minutes. A kind man took our drink order and brought drinks. It was at least 15 minutes before another man came and asked if we needed more chips. I told him we had been waiting to make our food order. He kindly took it and the food was out in maybe 10 or 15 minutes. While eating, a lady came to the table adjacent to our booth and sprayed cleaner all over it and resulted in a fog of cleaner over our table while we were eating. We felt unwelcome and decided we...

La Hacienda is a “go-to” for us. Conveniently located, great food, good service..except for last night. Our waiter/server(who barely spoke English) got all of our orders correct for 10 people (four different tickets). IMPRESSIVE!

When it came down to payment, each parties ticket was wrong, which isn’t unheard of when there are numerous parties; no one party was upset. We then took it upon ourselves to review the tickets and “fix” it for the staff when returning to them. A DIFFERENT STAFF MEMBER reviewed and redistributed tickets again incorrectly. One party tried helping the staff and she rudely stated “I don’t need your help, but tell me what you ordered!” Restated parties ordered and ONCE again, tickets were incorrectly given. Same staff member was very rude to each party and she almost had FOUR unpaid tickets. If she would have accepted help from the customer, it all would have been resolved efficiently.

This issue will not keep us from returning to restaurant, but hopefully this makes it to the right person and staff is trained properly...
