Saketini Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in Broussard

I came with a party of 7 and our reservation was at 730p. We arrived approximately 15min early and I have never experienced this amount of disrespect until I came to this establishment. It wasn’t bad initially, however after being patient while slowly receiving each course, and finally getting our hibachi entree, we took a bite of our food and it was barely lukewarm. Being that the food should have come straight from the grill, this was unexpected and unsatisfying. We expressed our concerns to our server, Sean and he immediately got defensive. With it now being after 830p (closing time) and seeing that they had already cleaned the grill, he offered to “heat up” the food. Steak Hibachi cannot be reheated. We asked that our food be remade, fresh and we’d be happy to eat and pay. Sean did not accept our suggestion, however stated that he would call the police and they would make us pay anyway. We explained that wasn’t needed, we’d pay for what we had eaten. We asked for a manager and she seemed like she was just ready to go home and asked us to leave without paying. First experience with Saketini and boy was it a memorable one. I live 5 minutes from this place and drive by it at least once a day thinking it was just another bar! What a mistake I have been making. From the time we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly welcoming young lady and being Christmas season was offered to pick a free appetizer ornament off of the tree. We picked gyoza’s...never heard of them. Sat us at our table to a very cozy atmosphere...very attentive serve staff. My wife and I placed our order and ,Angelie our server, was very quick on her feet tending to our drinks and needs as well as her other tables. The gyozas were outstanding...I thought a pot sticker was a pot sticker but these were so tender, juicy, and flavorful. We also ordered the Acadiana roll and a Zydeco roll and outstanding also!!! We shared our main dish of chicken and shrimp hibachi. Packed the plate with deliciousness and the fried rice second to none. We ate so good we had enough for leftovers to bring home. I’m hooked from here on...don’t sleep on this place as I have been! Excellent Food...

My husband and I ordered the gyoza, the love roll , chicken hibachi and steak hibachi. The soup came out for the hibachi, and the stickers with the barcode was still on the bottom of the spoon, almost like they have never been washed. We told the waitress and nothing was said or done about it. We got our gyoza and love roll, those were good however there was a black hair in the wasabi that they serve with the love roll. We waited and waited for the hibachi entree. We waited for 40 minutes and the waitress comes up to us and says they are giving you'll a serving edamame because of the wait for your food they are doing it right now. And it still took another 10 minutes, we told them we didn't want it. And instead of even trying besides the edamame to make us happy or to give them another chance they made it clear they didn't care.
