I am an African American female, born in Missouri and raised in Louisiana, Southwest Louisiana in particular where it is we'll known that the best food in the USA is prepared and where you learn to cook before you can walk. I've been blessed by GOD to have been privileged to sample food from all over this Nation so I really know what good food taste like.

Here in Southwest Louisiana, a sport and fishing paradise, we eat lots of seafood and wild game and we really know how to cook it so when I was scrolling through my Doordash app menu and came across Laze Caveman Restaurant and the fact that they served smothered rabbit, I was intrigued and ordered the smothered rabbit with gravy over rice, white bean, a side veggie.

The food was so good that I later went back and picked up two additional order of the same for my Dad and his wife. My Father enjoyed the food so much that when I asked him what he would like me to get him as a birthday gift, his response was "Get me me some of that rabbit and white beans. THAT ALL THAT I WANT FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!"

Poo-Yie this place will knock you out your socks!!! I'm a CAJUN woman and I love a good meal with plenty of FLAVOR and the Lazy Caveman DELIVERS. This is not healthy and you better be a MEAT EATER if you wanna find something here. Only vegetables is the onions in the boudin!

As a native to Acadiana and a Boudin lover I can honestly say that I’ve sampled just about everything the area has to offer. Lazy Caveman is my absolute favorite and no other place is even close! Not too spicy and the ratios of meat to rice are spot on. They use lots of green onion which I also enjoy. It’s always consistent too.
