The Boozy & Boiling Barn — Restaurant in Broussard

Got one of their specials, 10# of crawfish (spicy) with 1# of shrimp and it came with corn and potatoes, I also ordered mushrooms. The line was long when I arrived but it went by extremely quickly as they had someone walking out to take orders and payment ahead of cars arriving at the window. I was probably 20 cars back when I arrived but got my order within 20 minutes or so. When I picked the order up she repeated my order back to me and told me the mushrooms were in a bag on top which let me know I was leaving with my full order. I then pulled up a little and decided to order a daquari at the next window. They took were extremely fast and I had my drink within a couple minutes. When I got home and began to open the bag it was extremely well packed! Nothing had leaked out and to my surprise there were actually two bags inside the large outer bag, each containing a 5# order, which made it very easy to divide between my wife and I and was appreciated! The crawfish was absolutely delicious, very well seasoned (seasoning on the INSIDE like it should be, not sprinkled on the outside!), they peeled easily and were full and fat, I'd say a good medium to large mix with almost no small ones. The shrimp were headless and seasoned well but were slightly overcooked and a tad bit hard to peel, but were still very good. The corn was obviously boiled with the crawfish, or at least in the seasoned water as they were very spicy and tasted good. The mushrooms were HOT HOT HOT but we're also good. The potatoes tasted good and were well seasoned however they were pretty undercooked in the middle so we only got to eat a third to maybe half the potatoes. The daiquiri was of course delicious too. Made a detour on our way back to Texas! Wanted to try this place out and it was worth it! We had a large truck in tow so we couldn’t make the drive thru, but they accommodated us with no problem!! Service was great and so friendly!!! Crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, and corn was seasoned well, hot, and fresh! Strawberry cheesecake snow cone was “Off The Chain” in my husband’s words! Due to walking up to order we were able to see the inside pretty good (which drive up has huge bay doors) the establishment was CLEAN!!!! Everything looked extremely sanitized and kept up very well. Every employee gave a friendly smile and was in true work mode! If ever in the area again we will return and will also...

Was a great place to eat from. The flavor crawfish was pretty different than most places answered all questions that I asked very friendly people was packed so I think that may be put into effect of the crawfish not being completely clean, but I don’t know because I never cooked crawfish for that much people, always had time to really clean my crawfish until my water clear . I would recommend someone or anyone eating here price is very reasonable. You would love it. Good job !!!!
