D'Tony's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Brownsville

Start off, that i've not been here since 7 years and today reminded me as to why i've not come here again. They did give a great welcoming as you enter, but the waitrees we had, had a bad additude and the service we got from here was terrible (sorry we sat at your table, to a point we almost left). Flour tortillas we good, coffee was good. Now everyone has there own taste of food/flavor so can only say my experience: food is made fresh that i give it, but its not worth the drive (plenty of other places). Price is fair portion amount is good. The worste taste of this place is the water (it was from the sink, PERIOD!). not even a lime/lemon would change the taste. Atmosphere is normal, can day it was good. Never been here, i'd say look at other places before coming here, but if you live on the other side (north) then well...

Loved it - authentic Mexican breakfast and lunch. Small family run restaurant - great warm salsa. I had the chili rellenos and it was cooked well with a great coating and sauce. Husband had chicken enchiladas and really loved the sauce. The rice was Mexican not Spanish rice - very moist. Both dishes came with rice and beans and the chili rellenos came with two fresh flour tortillas - small but fresh. They do speak English. Accepts credit cards. Ramp for wheelchairs. Parking is enough for restaurant size but if you go for breakfast - expect a wait and right parking. Lots of traditional breakfast options at good prices. Good value. I can't believe I just paid $46.66 for 6 tacos. Im never coming back. And I come here at least ones every 3 weeks for lunch. I asked for 2 chilaquiles tacos and they are charging me for the plate of 7.99 so then I asked them are you going to at least throw in the beans and the potatoes she said no. I said ok sell me the plate instead and she states and that was 6.95 explain that to me but the tortilla its an extra 1.99 I was like wow. The other tacos I order were about 5.50 each and that's still kinda high for tacos.
