*The new owners have really done an incredible job with the restaurant! Food is served in a timely manner, and the wait staff is very attentive. The food steals the show now! The pancakes are delicious, and the steak omelett is huge and filling! By all means, give Fiddles a try *

Fiddles is a local landmark in the small town of Brownsville, Pennsylvania. I've been been coming to the restaurant since I could walk and many of the locals have been frequenting the diner since they were teenagers. The food is good with a variety of menu options. Be warned though, there is usually only one cook and one server. Be prepared to wait at least a half hour to 45 minutes for your meal. This is a very small town, and the diner is a focal point for the locals to meet up and exchange the daily news. It's more of a center for meeting up with old friends. This is a social place and you'll meet some interesting characters. Just let go of your stress, enjoy the coffee, people watch, and above all take your time. Fiddles is an artifact of a bygone era of coal mining and steel mills. The names etched into the booths represent a history of whose-who from the town. Enjoy the great hot dogs and chilli. Don't be surprised if they are out of items. View your visit as an anthropologist like myself...

Took a long time to get food. Was not busy only one other table that I could see. 4 people sitting around cutting potatoes. The waitress had to be told she had a table and be reminded. Staff was sitting and sprawled all over the customer side of counter space cutting and slicing potatoes. Watched one of them get up with gloves get a drink and do other things and never changed gloves and came back to cutting potatoes. Just something that shouldn't be done in front of customers.

I didn't care for the hot dog I ordered. It was burnt and overloaded with chili and soaked thru mushy. When the cook checked in with us. I did inform her and she did offer right away to make something else for me, which I declined and she did remove it from bill. Overall the other 2 meals with mine they stated they were good. Think with sometime to work some kinks out it...

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! Me & my husband just left here because we sat there for atleast 30 minutes and our order never got taken, as we sat & watched the waitress, wait on the two tables who came after us. Now they were not busy at all, there was only one other table there when we came, so that’s not the issue! What was the issue that our order didn’t get took? My husband said he believes she didn’t take our order & took everyone else’s order instead of ours because he is black and she didn’t want to wait on us. I have never in my whole life had this type of service. Shame on you waitresses at this restaurant! We are so disgusted by this we lost...

My husband and I finally went to Fiddle's Diner around 1:30 pm today. My husband decided on the fish sandwich, and I decided on the chicken tenders basket, everything tasted very good. The waitress is very pleasant, and made sure we had everything we needed for our lunch there. We both decided that we have to go back and try the shake's there. Very friendly atmosphere, I would definitely recommend Fiddle's Diner to others.

I had lunch there, on Saturday, June 22nd. As always, Fiddles doesn’t disappoint. The food and service were both Excellent. I’ve been eating here since I was a kid, back in the 1970’s. I have fond memories and a love for Fiddles. Every time I visit Brownsville, I stop in here for something to eat. Usually it’s a hot dog. They have the BEST Hot Dogs in the World…!!! PS, I got their BLT Hot Dog and it was Delicious…!!!
