Lotus Cafe — Restaurant in Brownsville

Well I'm sure the original owners don't own this gig or the others. Anyways customer service was poor. Yet the table across from us got 100% attention every 2min. Vs. Us sitting and waiting and waiting and sitting. There were only 2 on our side and us made 3 and yet they never cked on us. I asked for fried rice they brought me white, I asked for red chili pepper they call hot sauce I waited, even asked another waiter and no response still had my food getting cold and no hot sauce. Had to waive the cashier to bring me some and she flagged someone and so shysty brings me 1 itty bitty container I'm like I need more. Still waited on that. Never gave us nor brought us entre soups that whatever soup of the day it is. Got squat!. Ignored no refills, as if we didn't exist. Bad service from when I stepped in the restaurant was sitting there for more than 10min. Till I got adressed and even then worse customer service ever. Food was ok not as great as it use to be. But I don't think I'll ever come back. Idk what it was for us to have bad service and not attended. Yet others they were on top of it. I was like okaayy.. whatever!. My 1st time of ordering the Hong Kong Crispy Noodles and I chose roasted pork as my protein- DELICIOUS!!! Everything came seperate/ Noodles, broth ( extremely flavorful & very light ) that contained spices & veggies + Chiles and I put everything together ( allowing me to control noodle portion to my own liking...👍 ) in large bowl 🥣 😋 I also ordered the vegetable spring (2) rolls @ $4.75 and duck sauce to eat them with. Yummy! This meal is different, lighter than their other choices/ soup consistency & enough for 2-3 ppl to share as an appetizer or as a meal for 2 @ $12.75 I ordered delivery & it was fulfilled at the exact ETA that was given to me !!! Food seriously sucked. I can make better food at home. Mushrooms were raw the noodles weren't even lo mein noodles they were spaghetti noodles. It tasted like they just for raw mushrooms and boiled spaghetti in a skillet and put soy sauce and heated it up. I could have made something better at home. Pretty expensive for what you get. A one inch long small egg roll and tasteless spaghetti noodles with raw mushrooms in it..my husband got almond chicken which looked just as awful. Looks like they just mixed up the ingredients that's already cooked separately before serving. The fried rice as well. They just mixed a can of peas and carrots from a can with fried rice. You can so tell they weren't really cooked together.. awful don't...
