Mota's Tacos To Go — Restaurant in Brownsville

We went off of these reviews and boy were they wrong! So this place is recommended for these outstanding tacos? We ordered 24 tacos @ $1.35 each and if you have ever seen a clown car with 20 clowns getting out then you can imagine what 24 tacos in a brown paper sack looked like to us. The tacos were the most greasiest, smallest, almost no meat tacos I've ever had (just look at the pictures). My husband also tried to surprise me with chips and salsa and the laugh at what they gave him was awesome until we ate the saddest tacos ever ( also check out the hilarious chips and salsa picture). We actually had to go get food from somewhere else and threw the tacos in the fridge for someone else to eat. This place was a joke and in Dallas (where we're from) we can get pastor tacos for a buck each and they taste 10x better and are bigger . We figured since we were so close to the border that we could get some good food BUT this place ain't it! Won't be going here again when visiting...

If you're looking for greasy tacos that taste great, then this is the place for you. Be warned many people order ahead of time and you should expect to wait 25-40 minutes for your order, especially during lunch time. Its a hole in the wall with a short menu and very affordable prices. Tacos de carne desebrada are served here and are accompanied with jalapeños, ask for their green salsa (sold separately) add salt and dig in. Established 30 years ago and still serves the immediate community, parking is mostly on the street, no indoor seating and it's CASH ONLY. Don't mind the angry guy at the window it's part of the experience, he yells because he has to, one of those things you have to see it to...

The food is good but service is not that great. I called more than 5 times to order ahead and no answer. The automated machine said to order at the windows and they don't accept orders on the phone, yet your Facebook page says otherwise. Took 20 minutes to get my order, which is not that bad but for just some tacos it should be less.
