Taqueria La Vaquita 4 — Restaurant in Brownsville

Ever since they changed the person in charge this place has been inconsistent and cook laziness varies. The tacos de trompo are very seldomly individually wrapped as it is tradition of any taco place that serve these. They also supposedly serve breakfast all day but it depends on the kitchen staff. We got there at 11 a.m. on a Saturday and ordered breakfast. The waitress happily took our order only to come back after serving the coffee to tell us they did not have any eggs! We decided to give it another chance and went back earlier on a Sunday. The same thing happened. No eggs! It seems that the cook does not like to do breakfasts once he starts prepping for lunch. Then they should advertise breakfast all day. They tried to unload the left over barbacoa. This would of never happened a year and a half ago when the young man was in charge. During this year’s 2024 Charros parade.. I really needed to go to use the restroom and I was part of the parade.. I stepped off the float to the nearest restroom and I saw La Vaquita restaurant, and there was so many people at this restaurant.. I thought I could just use their restroom, a simple in and out.. I went to the door of this restaurant and the guy who works there told me that they were closed.. I told him I just needed to use the restroom and it would be fast.. He made no exceptions.. There were so many people inside this restaurant and the parade hasn’t even started yet.. And according to their schedule they are open till midnight on Fridays.. I don’t know why he didn’t let me in but I had to walk further to just use the restroom.. I will make sure to never eat here or support their business in any...

Their tacos are really good and inexpensive they have a combo for $6 which includes 5 tacos, charro beans and a coke tacos have to be bistec or pastor......another combo for $7 which is the same 5 tacos, charro beans, and a coke but can be mix with trip and/or molleja. ...plus they have other items n thw menu from fish plates, mexican plates to a burger, even tortas and flour tacos...very clean and fast services very well served tacos with meat, cheese, avocados and onion and cilantro....I have tasted also other items from menu and they are good too...recommend to try it and you won't be...
