Taqueria Poblana — Restaurant in Bryan

Mediocre tacos with a high price tag. Stripes has a better tasting breakfast taco at half the price - and they're not even good.

Tacos themselves are small and not filled very much, better value for the price anywhere else in town other than Las palapas which actually has smaller tacos.

Chorizo is exorbitantly greasy, had a odd sweetness to the taste and is cooked separately from the eggs which makes it to where you have a grease puddle that drips from the taco.

Bacon was ok at best, but worlds better than the chorizo.

Menu price shows 2.99 in the store for each taco, was charged $4 for each taco.

1/10 would not recommend and do not look forward to when my stomach expunges...

The service was horrible. I had to go inside to place an order because no one was paying attention to the drive up window. No one was in the cafe. The young girl at the counter acted like I was bothering her when I asked if we could get our drinks now while we waited for our to go order. Still had to wait before she decided it was important enough to move her but to get them. Then when burgers we're ready she decided to let them sit for 10 minutes before she decided to give them to us. Food was good but cold when we got it. Stopped here too grab breakfast. This place was not very user friendly. There were no signs about pricing or the options available. All the food was in bins like you'd find on a buffet, unmarked and you simply ask for what you want in your taco. Since nothing was marked and I didn't have the time to figure out what everything was, I went with the basics - bacon, egg, and cheese for me and potato, egg and cheese for my wife. They were fine. The potatoes were cooked with something, possibly chorizo, and were a bit too spicy for my wife. I wanted to like this place as it's close by. I might give it another try when...
