Since I was limited to 1200 characters on my surgery.. here we go. I was asked to move to a spot off to the side to wait for my order, which wasn’t an issue until it took 10 minutes to receive my food as 3-4 other cars left with theirs and all I had was a salad and fries I already had received my drink (which is flat). When they brought out my order I sat it down and told them thank you and turned back around to check it, and saw I didn’t have my fries. Before the employee (Adriana) got back to the building I caught her and told her. She said she’d go get it for me, and when she returned she was empty handed and said “She wants me to check” I said: “I’m sorry, what do you mean?” She said with a laugh again: “She wants me to check and make sure it’s not here” And I was taken aback but reached over and opened my bag, and laughed when I said “I mean it’s pretty hard to miss a big black box but alright” and she looked around my vehicle and went back inside. She returned several minutes later with the fries and said something like “Here you go”.. Not “Sorry for the inconvenience, or thanks for your patience” and then looked around in my vehicle AGAIN as I said thank you and prepared to drive away. I’ve never had this experience with Zaxby’ s in the 2-3 years I’ve been getting lunch here. First of all they’ve only forgotten or messed up and order once food which is why I love coming here, second of all they never made me feel as though I was lying over a $2 order of fries. This is absolutely ridiculous I expect this of McDonalds but I don’t even get that treatment there. In what world do you think it’s okay to make an already waiting customer wait LONGER to accuse them of lying about missing food? I started this feedback thinking I wouldn’t avoid coming here off one experience but one is enough because employees and management have OBVIOUSLY changed. I used to see a young girl named “Lovely” working here that was the epitome of her name, and a gentleman who was a manager used to work the window often that was African American but I can’t recall his name whom were phenomenal with customer service but it has recently gone down hill at the Buda location. Until today it was just subpar recently, but this is honestly ridiculous. If I treated people this way in my customer service job, I would be immediately coached and likely reprimanded. Check what’s going on at this location because it’s usually much deeper, and you likely lost a family which has been loyal...
Read moreI’m giving up on these guys. When they opened, we checked them out and enjoyed the variety they added to the local menu. The last couple visits have convinced me to stay away. Both times the chicken fingers were barely warm, not hot. The original sauce they were tossed in was luke warm at best. Maybe, if they had gotten them to me a few minutes earlier, they would have been good.
The girl on the counter acted like it was her first day, but they totally left her to fend for herself. That’s on the manager, not her. My order was strait forward: six chicken finger plate tossed with original sauce. I had to go through it three times, but she did eventually get it right. My partner’s order was similar except only four chicken fingers, not tossed, ranch dressing on the side. Somehow she ended-up with some chicken in a small bag, no plate, no sauce. I had some ranch dressing containers on my plate, so I gave her that to dip her chicken in.
I started to eat the coleslaw served in a very small sealed container, but stopped after the first bite of that wretched stuff. I don’t know if it was just old or if it got left in the sun or what.
I wanted a lower carb alternative to the fries, but didn’t see one. We were hungry and ate a couple of fries each and they were very good.
I’m thinking that the many failures we have experienced here lately are entirely the fault of the management. The kids working here are no worse than at other places. They need leadership and attention to detail and they aren’t getting it. Maybe this is the result of the tight job market in the Austin area and the low pay for fast food managers. All I know is I’m not going back for...
Read moreThis place is hit or miss. Usually the service is amazing. The past few times I have gone, they have not given me items that I have ordered.
My kids wanted Zaxbys so I trekked on down to Buda to go get it. I had both of their orders. I wanted large drinks with no ice with both and had ordered a cookie. I pull in and they have two young girls working a podium outside the speaker. They took my order. I pull up to the window. The young lady working the window was friendly. She mentioned she was in training. She repeated my order to me and then hands me the order. I did not think to double check the order. I did notice when they handed me my drinks, they have me one medium and one large. I explained I wanted both large. As I pulled away, I did notice they did not even add the cookie to my order.
The food was hot and was given to me quite quickly. If the young lady at the window is going to repeat my order, she should make SURE I have everything in the bag. I should have double checked it myself, but was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Little did I know, I would be shorted a cookie and not given the right drink. I was not going to drive back to Buda for a .99 cookie.
It seems that every time I come to this place, there is always someone new at the drive thru. I am not sure it is because they can not keep good staff or there is high turn over. Whatever the issue is, the need to nip it in the bud quickly because the service has been lackluster for...
