If I could rate them 0 stars I would . Before I paid I looked all over the website/app to make sure I did not need any additional requirements to check in . There was none . I continue to complete and PAY for the room . I arrive there to check in HENRY said he did not see my reservation And that I needed to come back I wait for about 20 min come back he points and says I need a $50 deposit . I told him Iooked everywhere before I paid for the room and was there anything else I could do . He said no and smiled I said ok well can you use this virtual card since my card is being mailed to me. He said no and smiled. I said please sir I paid for the room I'm just trying to check in with my kids I made sure I didn't need anything else before I wasted my money . He said no sorry and smiled . I said well can I please get a refund he said you'll have to go talk to the app and smiled. At this point I'm crying because I'm sad I cannot check in he's not trying to work with me. I can't stay at my regular hotel BEST WESTERN PLUS across the street because I wanted to try them. I gave them a chance !! I walk out frustrated crying with 2 kids and no where to stay to no money or nothing because I paid here. I call booking because that's who I use to book they say they will ask the hotel to wave the cancelation fee( which is the full payment of the room ) $100 because they were not able to accommodate me . 3 days later and yet they still have not heard from the property . I wrote a review and the hotel smashed my post stating they will not refund or wave the cancelation fee . So basically this HOTEL STOLE MY MONEY WILL NOT REFUND ME OR WAVE THE CANCELATION FEE . This motel truly offers excellent value for the price. It’s a no-frills, straightforward place—perfect for my needs, which were simply a clean, quiet spot to shower and sleep. I had no plans to spend extended time in the room, and for that purpose, it was ideal. The online reviews and photos were accurate, which I appreciated. I stayed in a non-smoking king room, and it was surprisingly spacious.
I did run into a minor hiccup: I booked using a coupon code link directly from the Sonesta website, but the discount wasn’t applied. As this was my first time booking with Sonesta, I’m not sure what went wrong. While it was disappointing, it’s not enough to deter me from considering Sonesta properties in the future—especially since this location was nearly half the price of other options in the area, making it a solid deal regardless.
Pros: • Plenty of furniture and surfaces, which made it easy to keep my belongings organized. • Clean and recently updated. • Very quiet—no noise from adjacent rooms, which was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: • No “Do Not Disturb” sign. While I didn’t want housekeeping during my stay, they still came in to replace towels (but didn’t empty the trash). • Bedding was very lightweight. A thicker comforter or duvet would’ve made it more comfortable. • No hangers or hooks in the bathroom, which made it tricky to manage towels or clothes.

Read moreI'm very displeased with America's Best Value Inn in Buda. An employee that works there and made a mistake concerning my reservation. The manager was called to the front and we had a discussion about options and he pretty much gave me none. He asked me to pay more money than I had for something that was already offered to me by an employee there. Instead of trying to fix the problem. When that conversation turn it to me calling corporate to file a complaint he decided he's going to take it upon himself to charge the employee for the difference that the nights were going to cost me. He also threatened to call the police on me and try to refuse service because he said I had an extensive vocabulary and did not like my opinions. I was very excited to have the night alone to do some work and the hotel manager pretty much ruined it for me. I use hotels for nights a week for business I will definitely think twice before using a red lion product again. I can't believe they charge the employee for her mistake a large corporation like America's Best Value Inn. It is a smoking property and there are literally ashtrays mounted to the walls outside of some of the rooms. When I gave him my deposit I was told I had to leave the property to smoke cigarettes I believe he told me that only to make things difficult for me because of the miscommunication about my reservation.
