MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Buda

Taking the fast out of “fast casual”. Came in before the dinner rush on Wednesday night. Was greeted with an empty line and high hopes. Took about 10 minutes before 1 of the 2 folks working decided to acknowledge that we were waiting to order. After taking my order and taking a surprisingly long time to put my pizza together they decided that the online orders in the queue took priority over taking my mothers order so I’m that time it took another 15 minutes to bother taking her order, my pizza was already done and out of the oven. Then more of the same! After asking the person that decided to ring us up if service is normally like they unapologetically said, “it’s just like that” Don’t bother if you’re in a rush. We come here often because we like the pizza and the blackberry lemonade! I must say the only person who seems to bake the pizzas to perfection is Sergio, he also provides great customer service. There have been a handful of times when I come in just to buy some lemonade and those times I’ve been turned away with “We are out”, when I ask if they have any in the back, they say “no”. Sergio today went out of his way to go make some more and fill up the lemonade dispensers. And one other time a different guy went and filled my glass from the back for me, I didn’t catch his name, but I was pleasantly surprised that he did that for me after all the other times being turned away. It's hard to even give one star for Atmosphere. The Buda MOD location is SO FILTHY. I have tried to give it a second, 3rd, 4th try but every time is the same. They pile up dirty dishes on the floor for you to look at while ordering. The trash cans are overflowing and there is food and trash all over the floor. The food is fine for the purpose (fast food) but the cleanliness is terrible. The Kyle location is quite the opposite so I am not sure what's going on ... are they individually owned and the Buda owner doesn't care?
