If you can't make it to the primary location, come here.
Upon walking in I was greeted immediately. My party consisted of 7 people in total.
We chose the table next to the door. The restaurant was amazingly clean and the service was immediate.
First I will talk about the food and what we ordered. Then I'll speak about the brew. What we ordered is as follows. Calamari, French onion soup, fish tacos, taproom burger, basil chicken sandwich and last but not least the pretzel.
The calamari. Not your traditional calamari. Asian infused with a honey glazed slaw. Is it bad by any means? No. It was tasty, but sweet. So be prepared for that.
French onion soup. Just like my other review stands for their primary location. By far the best French onion soup I've ever had in California. Maybe even the states in general. That's saying A LOT! It's fresh. Perfectly caramelized onions, bread and broth soaked. With perfectly melted cheese. I HIGHLY recommend it!
Fish tacos. Not your average fish tacos. But I have to be honest I didn't quite get to try them as much as I should. Because the table eat them so fast!
Taproom burger. Not a frozen patty of any kind! Loose meat patty seasoned perfectly. Asked to be cooked medium well. It was absolutely perfect. Raw onion, lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon and I picked cheddar cheese. The way a burger should be anywhere you go. THIS is a burger just like you'd take your time to make at home. To perfection. HIGHLY recommend it.
Basil chicken sandwich. Again I didn't get to try it as much as I'd like. It was eaten far to quickly. Which is a GOOD sign. My whole table was very picky eaters and everyone was satisfied.
Moving onto the brews.
I keep it simple usually with the Union Jack IPA. But I did get a chance to try some sours. Primarily "krieky bones" I don't like sours much. But this one is a must try. As for the Union Jack? I'm sure many have written about that beer particularly all over online. As it's one of their most known beers ever made.
The atmosphere here on a early Sunday ( 11:45am ) was great. Staff was amazing as was the cleanliness and presentation of the entire establishment.
With that said. I would highly recommend coming here. You won't be disappointed.

Read moreI stopped in to have a little birthday lunch (being a local), hoping my experience would be better than the last 4 we’ve had here (wanting to give more chances, Incase it was a rare bad night). I should have known from the start that it would end up as bad as the others….first off, I was the first person at the Host check-in inside the front door, but instead of the hostess asking me if I was first, she asked the 2 guys who came in after me who were standing further inside the waiting area (not near their check-in location. Then after I was seated (at a booth next to the same guys who got seated ahead of me), the waitress passed by me saying she would be right with me as she stopped to take the orders of the 2 guys in that next booth. Once I did get the $20 fish and chips I ordered, I noticed that the 4 small pieces of fish were quite small compared to how they’ve previously served this meal, and the steak fries were lukewarm at best!
We’d been going quite a bit during the later Covid era when there was not much staff, they had the previous menu that had better options on it with lower prices, and supported them during those difficult times. Now it appears they’ve raised the prices a lot more, rehired more staff that seem to still take quite some time before checking back in throughout the meal, taken away some of the better food items that they used to have, and overall seem to give such a lackluster quality with higher prices.
Time to give up on this local spot as they seem to only care about catering to tourists who won’t usually be back like locals will. They don’t deserve our hard earned money any longer, after...
Read moreSure wish we'd had the same good experience today. We were greeted nicely with our pup. Then it quickly fell apart. We were told our server would be with us shortly, he walked by about 10 minutes later after waiting on a corner table in bar area, said he'd be right back! He then ignored us and the greeter came over and took drink order, 15+ minutes now passed, we were going to leave as our server still ignored us, he decided to serve beers to people that came in way after us. Greeter returns to ask if we ordered food, we hesitated but ordered burgers and fries. Food took 30 minutes and burger was barely warm, fries cold. Ughhhhhh.. Then I stood at bar after waiting 10 minutes or so for tab to close out, the server wouldn't even look our way, he actually walked by us to clear a table, so rude. Once again greeter noticed us standing there and walked over to help close out. Yes there was a group of 20 arriving at same time we arrived but they got way faster service, 3 servers were present so you'd think one would help those of us seated in bar area, NOPE! NOT A FAN. BEER is better at many other places we've visited and service better. I'd skip this place if you see more than 15 other people unless you have 2 hours for a burger and beer, though 2 of us had diet cokes, that went empty way before food ordered. We tried to be respectful and not walk out, but sometimes we choose wrong, like this Brewpub. Worst service ever had. I give 1 star because greeter tried, but he was helping the gal serving bigger party than us. Very sad how much we wasted was not worth 85+$ for 3 burgers and 1 beer...
