0 Stars Horrible communication. Disrespectful owner. Do not plan an event here. 1st person we spoke with gave a tour of their front room. It was very intimate and perfect for our event. However when we arrived we were told it was in the back area. Service was ok at best. 40 person party with 2 servers. Servers were very personable but did not have enough help to accommodate that many people. We asked to speak with someone several times about the placement issues. The manager just said this was the original room. Buffet food was cold. Good for salads, not good for other foods. We were not allowed to take the leftovers home. They took the rest to the back. Not sure why. They can’t re-serve it and we paid for it. We received the bill being charged for 60 people. The contract he had in his hand had numbers crossed out and written over. You can clearly see that 50 was crossed out, then 65 was written and crossed out and finally 60 was written and circled. Not sure why or when that happened. Our copy has 50. We initially asked for compensation for wrong room (because the back room was not the setting for our decorations and event). At the end we asked for manager and the owner when our issue was not resolved. The owner at 1st was calm and speaking with us. Basically he said the women that showed us the initial room lied or we were lying. As the conversation progressed he began to yell and throw his arms up. He was accusing us of not wanting to pay. That was never the case. We wanted the leftovers and to pay for the amount of people that was on the contract. He told us that he had to bring in more workers for a party of 60 then he would have for 50. That’s crazy because these girls couldn’t do it with the 40 of us. Finally we gave up in exchange for paying for the correct number on our contract, 50. The servers were crying and told us that this isn’t the 1st time this has happened. Neither server was happy and both said they hate working events in the back room because this type of thing happens a lot and they were embarrassed. We paid and will...
Read moreThis was our third time eating at Villa Fazzolari. The first time we went 8t was my husband and I that went. We enjoyed our dinner so much that when our friends came in from Canada we took them here. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal. The one thing I do mind though is when it’s a mixed party of ladies and gentlemen is when the server refers to you as guys! As a female I resent that very very much. Anyway last night Sept 8th we came to Villa Fazzolari again for dinner. We came w other friends. It was not busy when we got there for one. The bartender that greeted us got us seated. From the time our server came over she referred to us as guys and needless to say that’s how she address us most of the time. My husbands dinner came out cold as well as our friends dinner came out cold. My dinner was ok, but I’ve had better veal Marsala. Our friend had chicken franchise. She told me it tasted like they had poured way to much lemon juice over it. The server apologized to the gentlemen and took their dinner back and it was supposedly remade. When their meals came back the food was hotter, but my husbands eggplant parm was mushy and had way to much sauce on parm as well as on pasta. Our friends veal parm was better but also a lot of sauce. We opted for no dessert. Two coffees were ordered. One was lukewarm. Our server presented us w shots of lemonicello which wasn’t necessary, especially since one person does not drink. It was a very disappointing evening. Now for my vent. I grew up w a mother in the restaurant business as well as I’ve worked in the restaurant business and people business for a life time. Teach your servers how to address their customers when coming to a table!!!! I never address my customers as guys even when it was all guys. It’s gentlemen or ladies and when it was children I referred to them as young ladies or young men. My other vent is, if you r in the restaurant business u need to...
Read moreDisgusting "Owner"
If you enjoy your dinner to be served with a side of verbal assault, look no further, you've found the place. My family members who frequent Villa Fazzolari had rented a room to celebrate a child's birthday. While attending this small gathering a parent asked if we could order a pizza for the two young children in attendance. The parent had ordered pizza in the past so they knew it was a menu item. The "owner" responded by disputing that it was not possible and even said "I already told you that I don't have to deal with you disgusting people". A simple no would have sufficed.. Perhaps, instead he could have offered a kid's menu? Needless to say being called "disgusting" really did bring down the mood of this CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY. When confronted by the host of the party, the"owner" became very irate and loudly said "I could kick you out, disgusting people, I don't serve people that are jerkoffs, what planet do you live on signora" . This uncomfortable exchange took place just outside the room that was rented and heard by all in attendance. It was after this exchange that the catering order was found to be incorrect. A manager, not the "owner", came out to address this issue. The manager was polite, respectful, and calm as he appropriately handled the situation. I would also like to make note that the wait staff was also excellent and handled this uneasy situation with grace and tact. To close, it came to light that the "owner" is in fact the actual owner's entitled son. I will only remember the name of this restaurant as to be sure that I will never go back and can advise others...
