We love the pizza of the Papa Johnās and for the last 4 years we went to the Buffalo Grove location often. Yesterday at 8PM we walked in and we ordered a pizza ,extra large, 6 cheese, pizza crust. When we received our order we didnāt notice that it was in a smaller box than what x-larges are usually in, and we only realized our order wasnāt correct the next day, we didnāt get the extra cheese we ordered, rather than using the dough for crust it was made with regular dough, and it was just a large rather than an extra large. The next day we called the location and we explained to the manager, and I was speaking in a friendly manner, but the response we got was hostile and she was constantly asking ā why are you laughing?ā When I was just trying to sound friendly. I expected to at least revive and apology, but all we got was a rude response from the manager. Her name is Ashley. I know that mistakes happen, it understandable, but poor management is inexcusable. I will not be coming to this location ever again, and I will recommend to our friends and neighbors to avoid...

Despite placing the order at 4:30 pm and receiving a notification at 5:30 pm that it was ready for pickup, we encountered numerous delays upon arrival. Initially informed of a technical issue with the app, we were assured the pizza would be prepared shortly. However, after multiple inquiries and reassurances of imminent readiness, the pizza did not materialize until 6:35 pm, a two hour and five minutes later than expected. Upon receipt, we found the pizza and wings to be disappointingly cold, indicating they had likely been left sitting out for an extended period. This prolonged wait and subpar quality significantly inconvenienced us, as we had guests waiting at home for over two hours. Additionally, the lack of accountability and dismissive response from the staff further compounded our dissatisfaction. I used to work for this company. 1st, they are always short on staff. 2nd The employees need training on how to deal with customers better. 3rd They are short on staff because the owner trying to save money. Which hurts business more because nothing gets done. 4th The drivers they hire are the brightest . The people who take orders need to ask for more information so the drivers can accomplish their delivery better.
This place can be awesome. But it all starts with the owner. He is too busy making money on school orders and rock an jump.
