This would definitely qualify as a hole in the wall in most places, but in Leon County it's a local staple. My wife and I live full time in Houston but have some property in Oakwood as our 2nd home. The eating options have been limited to a few places, and we had no idea that this place even existed. I went into the local pharmacy in Buffalo to get a prescription filled and there were quite a few people in line, when it was my turn I asked the pharmacist for a great breakfast place and without hesitation, she said Anthony.'s. I paid for my prescription, everyone in line behind me, proceeded to tell me about this wonderful restaurant that the locals love that we had to try. As you can see from the photos, we were skeptical when we parked, but as soon as we got inside the service and the wonderful smells, took over. They have a ton of breakfast and lunch options and very affordable pricing and the service is what you would expect in the country; if you're driving north from Houston to Dallas take the Buffalo exit and give Anthony's a try you will not be...

Great local food... from the outside it doesn't look like much.. BUT the food is delicious and the place is incredibly clean! I did not find dust anywhere on the blinds or seating areas! Amazing! And the food portions are huge and very affordable! I'm glad I took a chance on this place.. its our go to for mid pit stop to Dallas from houston. Thanks to the good reviews on the place.. oh and our waitress was incredibly nice! Btw.. she looks like the younger version of Britney Spears! I'm sure she gets that alot! Lol.. I would have given it 5 stars but as another review mentioned- the cigarette smoke trickles into the non smoking area- it's not bad but you do notice it. Also, it looks like a run down place from the outside, it wouldn't hurt them to do some renovations to make it noticeable-and no eye catching sign to name the restaurant-just a vinyl sign barely noticable on the left side of the restaurant.....

I only give it a one star because I can't give it any less. Great place to go to mingle and if you want to throw your money away on DRIED OUT food, but do not go there hungry and try to eat off the buffet they DO NOT put out anything fresh until all of whatever is in that particular meat tray is gone. Then you have to wait for them to cook some more because they don't keep an eye on the buffet. I'm just guessing here but if you don't live there you don't get FRESH food or at the very least good service. Don't complain because they don't listen. They'll just say $45 please for two people. They WON'T ask you how was the food, or the service because they know that both are BAD. They DO keep an eye on how much you tip. Needless to say I won't be...

What a gem of a place! It was recommended to us by the RV park where we pulled in for the night, and it didn’t hurt that we were hungry! This is down home comfort food at its finest. The onion rings are cooked from scratch! Yum. I had the stuffed spud! I chose grilled chicken, told them to hold the Texas Toast and ordered a dinner salad. The salad arrived first and had lots of little pots with bacon bits, grated cheese, croutons, chopped fresh tomatoes, sunflower seeds and ranch dressing (2). It was so delicious and fresh. Then my ultra large spud arrived with grilled chicken and extra pots of sour cream and cheese. Our very friendly server said “they gave you the Texas toast after all” … well what is a girl to do? Yum!

Very nice restaurant. Had breakfast and the servings we're plentiful. Finally a place where you order a water or soda and it's twice the size of everyone else's. I was impressed. The interior and layout of the restaurant I really liked. There is a smoking section, but make sure that you don't arrive between 11-2pm or after 9pm if you want to take advantage of the smoking section. Our omelet plates were only $6.90 and 2 egg with meat breakfast was I believe $5.70. Very reasonably priced and everyone got full and enjoyed their meal. I definitely recommend this place to everyone and I will be back next week when I pick up a family member. For all those wondering, they do not serve their buffet during breakfast 😟
