On Friday night at 7pm we walked in and immediately noticed how incredibly loud this place is. It was a wall of sound.
We came in through the bar and wandered to the host station, where a sign advised us to wait for seating. We parked ourselves there. Eventually we helped ourselves to menus and took in the selections and the noise.
And we had plenty of time to do it because as many people who worked there passed by and came near us, no one ever came to the host station or even looked at us. The menu was simple, with some interesting pizzas and dishes, and we kind of discussed several of them. We waited at least 5 minutes, probably more, and the last 2 minutes felt pretty awkward, like wow, no one is going to ever acknowledge us or seat us. We took it as a sign and left.
I assume their food is good. They need to take soundproofing solutions seriously though. I was a little relieved that we left but I would have been happy to be seated. Clearly they don't value dedicating a person at the host station to avoid awkward moments like these, and no other employee feels compelled to help out and say, hey you've got someone waiting at the front. This lack of helpfulness among staff might be a problem. I don't feel particularly good about our visit. We ended up at...

We came to the Brick Oven Bistro for the first time. We expected the place to be a typical bar and pub. We asked our waitress Missy about the menu. She seemed annoyed and quickly told us that this was an upscale establishment. Almost as if we did not belong in the restaurant. We debated about leaving at this point but decided to stay and eat. We ordered A pizza and wings. During our time there the waitress did not come over to replace our drinks or ask us about our meal. We had to ask her every time we needed something. She seemed to be far more interested in hanging out and talking to the other waitresses in there little serving area. We were her only table because there were very few people in there eating. Yet there seemed to be about 4 servers working. Even when she brought the check over she dropped it on the table and did not thank us for coming or invite us back. Apparently she is not interested in doing her job or maybe we were just not welcome. Either way this is totally unacceptable and we will never be back here again. JUDGING ON THE REVIEWS I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. I CANT IMAGINE TREATING PAYING CUSTOMERS THIS WAY. I DON'T BELIEVE THEY WILL BE...
Read moreVisited Brick Oven Bistro for the first time recently. My husband and I ordered 1 French onion soup, 1 house salad, and 1 pizza special to share for dinner. We enjoyed our food a lot but we thought the atmosphere could use some improvement. The French onion soup was classic and very good, and we loved the white balsamic dressing on the house salad (it had hints of garlic). The pizza special (chicken fajita) was flavorful and we liked the medium-thin crust.
However, we were seated towards the back of the restaurant near the side-door (close to the bar) and our meal was continuously disrupted by the freezing winter air that blew in as guests entered/exited the restaurant. This occurred nearly every 10 minutes and was very uncomfortable. Also, our server did not stop over to ask how we liked our meals and it was tough to get our waters refilled. The lighting in this half of the restaurant seemed too dark compared to the front half.
Overall I would return for the food and reasonable prices, but I would not have high expectations in regards to...
