If your from NYC like me, or haven’t been to NYC yet, you NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE. Ever since I moved to Buffalo since about 1.5 years ago, I have been craving my favorite foods from back home. Chicken over rice, gyros, that classic southern fried chicken. You name it. Only thing missing is that thin crusted $1 pizza. But besides that. This store is the closest I have seen to the real deal if not THEE real deal. The owner is from nyc himself and from what I hear ram a food cart as well. It tastes exactly like the chicken over rice I miss. I have been recommending a new friend here in Buffalo Chicken over rice at multiple places, which he said were all good, but as soon as I discovered this place and let him know about, he immediately ordered on doordash the next day and said it was the best one he had ever had. Ordered it the next day too. Now you aren’t gonna get that Shah’s signature taste, or the OG Halal Guys on 53rd St (they kinda suck now, only their sauce is saving them) but this place is damn close. 👍 Who doesn’t love some Chicken over rice with some good old Brisk. TLDR: if you’re craving “Halal Food” carts from NYC in Buffalo, this is definitely the place. They got the recipe DOWN🤤 10/10

I didn’t want to give this 1 star but had to. First off had many over rices from different places and I always order the same thing. I had high expectations of this place for the over rices after reading the reviews. I ordered a lamb over rice with extra lamb and extra white sauce. As you can see on the picture there is barely any extra white sauce actually barely any white sauce and I wouldn’t call it extra protein at all. There again the lamb was over fried and burnt, the texture is really annoying to munch on. The last straw was I got fried chicken, I saw they brought a new batch of fried chicken so I thought to give it a try. But unfortunately that was disappointing as well the chicken was a bit undercooked and some of the batter was not even fried properly. I get it the store was busy but please pay attention to your customers food order as well as even if it’s busy make sure your dishes are cooked properly. Anyways not everyone has the same experience so this was just my experience. Try out at your own. But unfortunately this store is not for me.

Buffalo Halal Chicken has built a serious reputation for serving some of the best halal food in Buffalo, and they absolutely live up to it. This place is a go-to for so many people, and once you try it, you’ll get why. Everything on the menu hits, but the chicken over rice is on a different level tender, flavorful, and loaded with just the right amount of sauce. It’s the dish everyone talks about, and it never disappoints. The service is always friendly, the portions are generous, and the food is consistently fresh. If you’re in Buffalo, New York, and looking for legit halal food, this is the spot. 😋

My humble apologies to those who are recommended this place before. This used to be a very good place specially for chicken or lamb. But I guess they got greedy now that they have business picked up, the food quality went to garbage. I got the chicken over rice today. And what I got was not properly cooked chopped tandoori chicken with yellow rice little bit of salad and two slices of pita bread. Neither the the chicken had any seasoning. There was no green pepper are onion. It was just a few pieces of tandoori chicken chopped in small pieces.

The typical recipe for chicken over rice is the chicken will be marinated with proper spices and those marinated chicken will be cooked and chopped on the grill along with onion and green. That is the minimum requirement. And the rice are also seasoned with cumin seeds and some other. These are the most and minimum requirement for chicken gyro or chicken.

Not some colored yellow rice and chopped tandoori chicken. I am so mad my stomach hurts because the chicken was undercooked. I will sue you guys if I get sick I have some of the food left in the fridge. 😡

Greed never brings anything good don't...
