Seriously the best pastries. As good as I’ve had anywhere (NYC, etc). Quality ingredients making an amazing product. Consistently delicious. I have no self control when I’m at butter block 😂🙈 Beautiful space inside too. Love the decor and all the pastries are beautifully displayed with a view into the kitchen. They have a few extra things they only make on Sunday’s and they are well worth a stop by. The line can get long out the door but if you go closer to opening at 8am it’s usually not too bad. The pretzel croissant with ham and cheese (sundays) is one of my favorite things they make. A perfect breakfast. The pain au raisin is also really good - they also do a version of this pastry but in a cacio e Pepe I love. (Both also Sunday only) Any of the croissants and danishes are amazing. Always have an onion Gruyère danish and then one or two rotating flavors. Just had a blueberry one I loved. Kouign amans are also excellently done. As good as dominque Ansel version in my opinion. Love the almond croissants. Because the pastries are so fresh and high quality, they get stale pretty quick but the plain croissants and the danishes heat up nicely which refreshes them the next day. I just put them in a pan on low heat and let them gently warm up and it gets them pretty darn close to fresh…plus the warmed up pastry is delicious. Also great monkey bread and eclairs…and a few beautiful desserts. Can’t go wrong with anything!!

Butter Block Bakery is like that cozy friend who always knows how to lift your spirits—with a pastry in hand, of course. Tucked away in the heart of the community, this charming spot is a paradise for anyone who finds joy in flaky croissants and indulgent treats. The minute you walk in, you’re hit with the irresistible scent of butter and sugar, which is basically the adult version of walking into a candy store. Their signature croissants are so flaky they might just start a bakery revolution, and the seasonal danishes? Let’s just say you might want to consider ordering a few—like, a dozen. Each bite is reminiscent of a warm hug from your grandma, only without the unsolicited life advice. And if you’re in need of a pie that’s both delicious and Instagrammable, their apple pies are ready to steal the show. The pie selection changes often, and I've never had one I didn't love. In fact, for every holiday I have to pick one up and drive it to my parents in NC. We love BB. The staff is friendly, too—always ready to chat and help you pick out your next favorite treat. Plus, they proudly support local vendors, which is like icing on the cake (or pastry, in this case). So, whether you’re a local or just passing through, Butter Block Bakery is the ultimate feel-good spot that guarantees smiles—one pastry at a time. Treat yourself; you deserve it!

This place always has a line of people waiting for it to open. Are they really that good? I would say yes, it's worth standing in line for. We ordered the almond croissant and the chocolate croissant, along with drinks. Both of the croissants were fluffy and fresh. I think the almond one might be my favorite. You definitely want to get some coffee. It pairs well with the croissant. The chai was nicely spiced, very tasty. All the ladies behind the counter were very friendly. The vibes were positive. The service is quick, especially if you're just getting pastries. If you're getting coffee, you'll just have to wait a minute or two. The atmosphere is nice. It's very bright despite being a very small space. Waiting for your coffee can be uncomfortable when it's crowded with only a few people, but there are a bunch of outdoor locations where you can enjoy your food.

I started going here over the summer, being that my daughter had them on her "places to try" list, and I wish we would've tried sooner. If you're 45+, you'll see it as a modern version of the old school neighborhood bakeries from yesteryear. However, this bakery specializes in French treats. If you're younger than 45, it definitely has foodie status, and their offerings are Instagram ready.

In regards to the food, everything we tried has been on point. My favorite is the classic croissant. Every bite reminds me of the establishment's name, Butter Block. The flavor, the flakiness, is spot on, no exaggeration. You can also get a chocolate infused croissant, which happens to be my daughter's favorite.

The star of the show is the bow tie maple bacon croissant (I could have the description in the wrong order). Yep, you read it right! A strip of thick cut bacon going through the croissant. Need I say more. WARNING. THESE ARE THE FIRST TO SELL OUT SO GET THERE EARLY.

In regards to other treats, my daughter said the homemade pop tarts were good, and I enjoy the éclairs occasionally. The savory pasties are interesting and worth trying. I think I had the French onion, which was good, but came across as an appetizer to me.

I'm not a real coffee drinker, but the Americana was a nice drink. However, I was a bit too wired after having it. There's plenty of both hot and cold beverages to choose from.

Overall, Butter Block is definitely worth trying. From the food, beverages, and atmosphere, you can tell this is a well thought out business where attention to...
