I just wanted to take some time out before the night ended to bring attention to 3 lovely staff members. I placed an order between 12-1 today at the Carbone's in Lovejoy. There was a young lady and two males, one older and one middle aged. They were so polite when I came in. I ordered my food and was told it would take 30 minutes. I went home and came back in 40 minutes to pick up the food. The young lady working told me that I had about 15 minutes left. I was a little frustrated ( not their fault at all ) that it would take more time, especially since I had waited longer than I was supposed to. I was having a bad day today and wanted to go back home as fast as I could. So being told I had to wait longer just made it a little difficult for me due to the emotions I had at that time. I never said any of that out loud, but she could tell by my facial expression that I wasn't happy. She apologized and said she didn't realize it had been so long. I told her I'll be back. I sat in my car another 15 minutes then came in to get my food. When I came in, the younger male offered me a free 2 liter for the inconvenience. I politely declined and told him it was okay. I believe he may have insisted but I declined again. I understand that the wait time is subjective, so I didn't want to take the 2 liter when it was just a circumstance out of their control. Once my food was all done, the young lady brought it to me and said that she gave me extra fries on the house for the wait being longer than expected. A gesture that I was completely not expecting. I told them thank you and to have a good day. It wasn't until I got home that I truly thought about the generosity that these 3 showed. They are very dedicated to customer satisfaction and I was floored when me and my family ate our food. It just so happened that it was also the best food we've had from Carbone's. I had chivettas hot wings that were chared on the grill, a pepperoni pizza with sweet sauce, fries and also, breadsticks. Everything was literally cooked to perfection. The wings were crispy, moist and flavorful. The fries were salted perfectly and crunchy, the pizza was baked to the perfect bready/dough like consistency. I am beyond impressed. These three have every asset it takes to run a kitchen. Between their manners, dedication and culinary skills.
I called them earlier to thank them personally and am hoping the owner sees this review. You've got a good group that was working 2/22/24, make sure you show them some appreciation because they are what will keep your business thriving. Thank you again to those three...

Then when I called them after I got home (which is literally 15-20 minutes from my house) I realized that I didn't get everything I had ordered and when I called and asked for a manager the "person" who answered the phone asked (HER EXACT WORDS) " What you need a manager for?" And I told her I was calling because I was missing half of my order and it's not like their prices were good (because they WEREN'T, IT WAS SOOOOO EXPENSIVE) She stated (while popping gum in my ear) well there's no manager here, I asked ok when with they be back and she said (and im not even joking) "IDK why don't you just call nonstop and I'm sure you'll get one of them."
