Gave Eckl's another try on last day of June2023, and this will be my last for a long while until something changes. Appetizers had an off flavor and were bland. The shrimp cocktail was good, but how do you put 2 jumbo size shrimp on the glass and then 4 medium-sized shrimp. I felt so slighted seeing the smaller ones. Dinner wasn't much better. The lamb was served raw, and the filet mignon was supposed to be medium rare and was served medium well. The executive chef was nice enough to come out and apologize and advised that the chef was new, but where is the quality control. I can somewhat understand if the place was busy, but we were only ones in the front dining area(that in itself should have told us something that something is horribly gone wrong with place). The garnishing of the plates was the best part of the meals, as you can see in the updated pictures. They look good, but once you dig in is when the disappointment occurs. Seasonings are off on everything, again, no quality control check occurs prior to serving are my thoughts. Desserts were complimentary at least because of the dinner debacle, and I have to say, was the silver lining to eating here and was very yummy, but we did not come here for the desserts. I miss preCovid Eckl's and wish you would come back. Maybe in a year or so, I will try again but what I paid for this horrible dinner I will definitely think twice if I want to potentially drop up to $200 for my wife and I to eat here not knowing what we are going to get. Another 2 star drop for me.
*UPDATE Came here for lunch service in May2023 and was not a great experience. The bartender was the waiter, and the service was slow. Food quality and choices are not nearly nothing like dinner service. Overpriced for what you received or should say not received. Hopefully, dinner service hasn't gone bad as well, and I will visit again and review again for that. 2 star drop for me.

Read moreWent in for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Stood around for 5 minutes waiting for the hostess to do her job and host. It wasn't busy, about 4 or 5 tables at the time. The bartender wasn't of much help either as for as getting the hostess to acknowledge us. He just stood there chit chatting with a bar patron urging us to walk into the dining room and find the hostess. After being seated, we sat for about another 10 minutes before seeing the waitress. When the waitress took our order, she was very short and curt with us, almost not allowing me to order a bowl of the lobster bisque (she had to stop herself and turn around to finish taking the order) Bisque came out almost immediately, basically earning the 2 stars, as it was very delicious. When the beef on wecks came out, the waitress said mine was at a medium while my lunch partner's was the medium rare that she ordered. Unfortunately, I ordered "bloody rare if possible". After bringing that to her attention, she once again became very short and agitated with us. Seeing as we only had an hour for lunch, and we had already put in about 45 minutes there, I was not interested in sending it back. I settled for the beef I was presented with. Another unfortunate incident arises.. The weck roll was so poorly cut, that after it was dipped in the au jus, it was saturated and the sandwich could only be eaten by knife and fork. I maybe had contact with the waitress 1 time after receiving our food, and that was so she could bring the bill. I worked hand in hand with Dale Eckl Sr. through my College years learning the fine art of cutting roast beef on weck at Eckl's in Orchard Park. I don't know if this location is in any way affiliated with the Eckl family, be it Dale Jr. or Denise.. If it is, I'm sure they will be able to work through these hiccups and become a successful restaurant such as the one in O.P., but if it is someone of no affiliation to the Eckl family, shame on you for disgracing the...
Read moreThis was possibly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. To start, we had 615 reservations, there was host or hostess to seat us so my wife and I had to wait for a server to notice we were standing waiting to be seated. Once seated I noticed nine of the table candles were lit, no salt and pepper on the table, and the amount of noise and profanity coming from a nearby table was beyond absurd and annoying. When our food arrived at the table, my wife had a the filet and potatoe cake, while I had the pork chop atop charizo sausage home fries, our meals were COLD and the potatoes were still frozen. We advised the server to which she took away our plates and brought them back 30 minutes later STILL COLD! After another 45 minutes of waiting there server returned again with a rare steak that my wife ordered medium. So back goes the food again... The pork chop and home fries was mediocre at best however it was warm this time around. When the server returned with my wife's upcooked steak it was now burnt to a crisp... Needles to say we will not be returning to this place... Oh, if you're wondering what the manager on duty did or said to us.... Keep wondering, the manger was off that day which left the serving staff to fend for themselves in a Saturday evening during the holidays.. I'm guessing this is why our server mentioned "this is exactly why the restaurant isn't doing well at all". No manager, No host or hostess. Loud obnoxious patrons. Terrible food preparation. Lastly, no compensation for the...
