I have a medical service dog his name is Trooper. I use him for a couple of my conditions. I was running errands today and decided to treat him on the way home so we stopped to the house of sandwich on Tonawanda Street. As soon as I got in the door the woman told me your dog is not allowed in here. Trooper had a service vest on. I tried telling the woman that he is my service dog and tried showing her His card. She said we prepare food here and we can’t have that dog in here. She handed me a business card and said if you want a sandwich call and then pick it up. I did not take the card and I told her if my dog is not welcome here I do not want to do business with you. We left and trooper looked up at me like what did I do wrong mom. My heart broke for him. He came home and just went in his crate and was sulking. Under the American disabilities act it states that you cannot refuse business to a service dog or his or her handler, and that is punishable with a $5000 fine. You cannot ask them to move or leave unless the dog is being unruly, barking, or displaying bad behavior. My dog has gone through hundreds of hours of training so he could be a service dog. I figured I would support local business, But this is a real shame. Shame on you house of sandwich. If I had my way I would give you no stars but I had at least give you one because Google wouldn’t let me...
Read moreA friend who lives in Buffalo suggested this place to have a good Puerto Rican breakfast while I was visiting. Upon my arrival there was a man before us who was very rude and arrogant to the young employee, the more rude he was, the more friendly and helpful she was.
When it was our turn to be served, the young lady treated us very well, she made good suggestions from the menu and she brought our order in very good amount of time. She served 9 clients while we were there, and they were all satisfied with her treatment and service. The sandwiches we ordered were excellent, very tasty, its reminded me of the flavors of my island.
Very important….When You visit this spot, if you have Yari as your server, you’ll be very pleased with her service and her knowledge about the menu. if you are like me far away from home and have no idea what to get and wants everything in the menu, she can give you a good hint of where to start.
I Wish Yari doesn’t have more clients like that one before us, and hope Yari and the House of Sandwich LLC Successful life!
By the way, to House of Sandwich LLC when the pay raise time come along, she deserve it! She already earned it!!

Read moreOrdered take out, told me 20 minutes. I didn’t even arrive until 25 minutes, I stood there for 30 full minutes meanwhile the staff would take turns coming up to me saying “just 5 more minutes”. Finally, after 6 “5 more minutes” I get my order only to find out each and every sandwich was not even close to the sandwiches we ordered. Went to call them but of course, they shut their phones off 15 minutes til close so worst of all, we drove there before closing and I was very kind and polite and not only REFUSED TO fix our order, or give us a refund but the staff phoned in the manager put it on speaker and ALL OF THEM FULLY STARTED SHOUTING AT ME AND MY PARTNER that it was what I ordered, no exaggeration, they all, including the manager shouted at me for about 2 minutes until I gave up and left. WORST CUSTOMER doesn’t do it justice, guess I paid over $50 for random sandwiches none of us wanted or enjoyed. Nastiest restaurant staff I’ve ever...
