Jackson's Soul Food LLC — Restaurant in Buffalo

I saw this place on social media and wanted to stop in to support this local black-owned business for breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner as well.

I ordered a few different things off the menu since they were running some specials, including the fried shrimp, grits, the breakfast eggrolls, which I got with bacon and egg, as well as the breakfast sandwich, which I got with sausage patties.

Everything was delicious and I really enjoyed everything I got! The breakfast eggrolls are a little on the greasy side, so something to keep in mind for the future.

They were pretty busy that morning so it took a minute to get my pick up order but you can call ahead/order online to place orders which I definitely would to save you some time...

This establishment was recommended by a friend and decided to check the place out. The first thing I noticed before entering was being unsure if the establishment was open, due to the unkept exterior and the gate over the front windows. When I entered, the air smelled stale and the lady at the register engaged in a conversation with a person, who was either a customer or visitor. Unsure if this was an eat-in, but I noticed clutter around the small dining area. I was never greeted, nor was my presence ever acknowledged by the host who immediately went to the back after completing their conversation with their visitor/customer. It was a very bad first impression and didn’t feel welcomed. I departed without a menu soon after…..not...

The boss is very disrespectful towards employees and customers. When it comes to her workers she doesn’t like to pay them what they have worked. I know someone who worked at the establishment for a short time only four days and one of the days was a double. The reason of them quitting was because of her attitude she had. When the person tried to call her she wouldn’t respond and all the person was trying to do is see when they were going to get paid for the four days they worked. When she finally responded she was so nasty to them and calling them out their name. And only told them they was getting paid for only one day when it’s proof they have worked for more than one day.
