Staff was wonderful! Food seemed fresh, and was good. BUT the owner stated they were NOT allowed to put the mayo on the bread first, as it was against subway policy. I have managed two different subways on different sides of the country, as well as worked at a couple more, and have never heard of this. It is RECOMMENDED that you build your sandwich that way, but really you can do whatever you want, which is the whole point of subway. If I want to put Mayo on the bread at any point in the process I should be able to. If I want the vegetables on the opposite side of the bread I should be able to. I have NEVER heard about refusing a reasonable request, in fact I have been advised against it from regional managers and owners.
