Went here to celebrate my Mother's Day with the family and let's just say I was very disappointed about everything. I called and spoke to the manager Thursday before Mothers Day and I asked to be put on the list which at the time I was figuring 17 people he said "no problem we can definitely take care of yall". When Mothers Day came around we had more family that wanted to join which brought our group to 22 people. I understand that's a large group but the manager did say that he could still seat us. We told him we understand if we need to wait since the group got bigger, so we kindly waited outside for our table. The manager came out about 5 mins later and asked if we would like to sit outside since it was available right away to which i agreed since we had kids and we didn't want to distract others inside. Everything was great until we sat down. We only had one server for our group of 22 and she definitely was struggling. She took a very long time with everything. We literally watched people go inside to eat and then leave and we still had not received our food. When the food started coming out which took about an hour we noticed some of the food was cold. The man who brought out our food was not happy that we told him about the cold food and that we wanted fresh food. He walked away making rude faces as if we had been complaining about everything. Mind you we had been very patient with the whole situation since we understood we had a large group. We have been to other places with large groups and have had way better service. A family member ask the waitress if the tea had free refills she said "yes" so he got tea and as he needed a refill he noticed the waitress was taking long so he asked her if she could just put the pitcher of tea at the table so he can refill his own tea and she didn't have to worry about getting him more tea. She said "ok" and brought him a pitcher of tea. The food was "ok" at best definitely nothing to brag about. Which i hate to say because I was really looking forward to eating here. Once we asked for the tickets the waitress proceeds to tell us we can't split the check. We have never had a problem with being able to split the check so this was the point where we started getting very upset. Again we had been very kind and patient with the waitress and restaurant until this point. She went to call the manager and he said we would have to split the total with the group. Which we didn't want to do because some of our group had only 2 people so it wouldn't make sense for them to pay for more than they needed. We asked for an itemized receipt so we can calculate what each one of us would pay. When we get the receipt we noticed so many mistakes. And also the "free refills for tea" was not so much free. We noticed a $15 charge for a pitcher of tea. Some of the kids ordered bean and cheese tacos, which were very cold, but the waitress tells us she put it in the system wrong so on the receipt it shows 2 different prices. We asked the waitress about all the mistakes on the receipt. She then tells us the tea only comes with 3 free refills after that they charge you for another tea and that was why it showed $15 for a small pitcher of tea. She then goes inside to fix the mistakes and comes back with a new receipt. Still she can't print out separate receipt so we go inside and pay separately for our portion of the ticket after we sat there and figured out what we needed to each pay. The manager definitely did not try to help the waitress out he only came out to tell us we can't have separate checks because of the system then left. He could have definitely helped more especially since we had such a large group. So our Mothers Day brunch was definitely a horrible experience and I will never go back and never...

Arrived at about 10am on Sunday. This place is definitely a brunch place! Bar had 2 seats left and the dining room was filled … oddly I never saw anyone on a wait ??? Anywho … I sat alone so it took a minute to get a drink at the bar they were slammed with the table orders- tel Jarote seemed to be the hot as well as the Jarrito. Jarortte- 100$ serves 4 about 10 drinks total and is the same drink as the Jarrito. A mix of nomad or silver Tequila & Tamind vodka w oh, lime juice, tamarind soda and squirt … 🙈It looked good! The bar was shy one bartender twill about 11 so like I said I didn’t get waited on for abou 10 min. But it was fun watching all the drinks being made! Checking out too was a bit of a wait as bar really concentrated on incoming orders from tables. Food too was a bit slow and it is a bit pricey but totally worth it as it was delish. I had two appetizers the Tacos Canasta - a combo of 6 street tacos , carnitas, papas & pibil & the Queso Reboltado w papas and Chorizo. The 2 Margs were 10$ each. The total bill was 45$. The folks next to me had the Omlette con Rajas- he said it was outstanding and it’s a huge portion - 3 eggs - 14$ The lady had the eggs and chillequilles - she said it was outstanding as well. Also 14$ as are most brunch entrees. There is NO BLENDER so all drinks are on rocks - Margs are an 8oz rocks glass and are tasty. Next time I’m trying the Jarrito! It cleared about 12:30 The location isn’t great - it’s on a strip mall that looks out to a water tower but folks seems to luv the food here.. I would t come just for Margs though as Gloria’s Latin Cuisine and El Mirador and Bar Mosaico inside Lisa’s on Bandera still reign as strongest for me. And it’s a bit of a drive being outside 1604 … I’m going to try Rusty Taco since I’m out here & see how it compares. Happy Hour is weekday 2-6 and bartender told me it was everything but didn’t give any more details. The outside is a cute space but nothing great as I said it’s a strip mall so it overlooks parking spaces and has about 8 tables w 3 umbrellas. I don’t think I’ll be back just because of the drive and there are other places similar & closer in town that are also cheaper. But IF you live out this way- wellll! The presentation is outstanding! The staff is friendly and accommodating when they aren’t slammed. It’s worth a check out if just to...

First of all, we did a very long drive to get to this place. And, we waited more than 1hr to get a table, as we got our table no one came to us until 25 mins later and there was only like 3 tables being served. After I requested several times to get served. I kept requesting to get our drinks order but no one would come to us, until the host came and told us that he would get someone to our table as soon as possible. 10 minutes later he comes back and himself took our drinks and food order.

14 mins passed and we finally got our drinks, (2 cafe de olla,1 hot chocolate and 2 limonades) No milk or creamer neither sweetners were provided. We Waited another 8-10 mins to get our creamer and sweetners. Coffee was already getting cold.

By that time we were so hungry so we requested to get pan dulce ( 3 pan dulces, they were advertised as warm bread) but no, they were cold and dry. The hot chocolate was only milk and had no flavor of chocolate whats o ever. They later brought to us more powder chocolate but it was not the same.

We finally got our food and food was ok.Nothing special. We ate and I requested our check to pay and leave.

Once I got our check, I realized that they were charging me for things I didnt order and the server was like, let me see. Once he realized our check was wrong, he came back with a check he did not let me review again, I even told him you are missing the order of the pan dulce and added that at the end. At this point, I was ready to leave and did not wanted to argue, I was wanted to pay and leave.

As I was paying, I always tip for the dine in experience and how I was served during my time. But this time, as I was paying I decided to not leave a tip due to the fact of my horrible experience.

As I was leaving, the server comes back to my table and asked me and demanded with a stong voice that if I was leaving a cash tip correct? He demanded for me to give a tip. Sorry my friend, we had drove to your place for a long time and get treated this way and now you are demanding to pay you a tip?? For this type of service.

Don’t know, if it was only like this with me, but I would really like to know about others how did their experiences went.

I was just very dissapointed overall, with the money I paid, I could easily go to a prime steakhouse.

Not coming...
