China Stix — Restaurant in Bulverde

I have been going to this location for over a decade and have been happy with their food and service, recently I went their after I got a 1k personal check cashed, he gave me new $100 dills, I watched him count out 10 bills, I went straight to china sticks and paid for my food with a $100 bill, got my food and went home, later that night I counted out the money and there was only $740 I noticed that 2 of the bills were stuck together so perfectly they looked like one bill even when you grab it, I had to use 2 finger to separate them, so I was back 2 $840 I made sure all of the bills were separated and I will still short $100, I’ve never encountered this with bills but new bills stick together due to static electricity, I called China stix and told them about my situation, she said that they would get back to me, She called back and said they looked at the camera and counted the money and everything matched, how is any of that going to help if the bills are stuck as 1 bill, I asked the lady to make sure no bills are stuck together and she said they do not stick together due to carbon, well yes, the new bills do stick together, it’s very common, i know that they were stuck together and now I’m out $100, I know it’s my job to make sure this doesn’t happen but things happen and I just wish people would stay honest and go the extra mile...

**Here I want to add some details to my previous comment.

We sat there for almost ten minutes, and nobody came to ask anything. My mom had to walk to the waitress who’s watching YouTube on her phone behind the bar to remind her that she had a table to serve! There were no drink refills the whole time. I saw her go into the kitchen and just disappeared. Later we ordered something for takeout before we finished our meals, guess what, she completely forgot about it! She even came to our table and ask us to pay for the whole bill after keeping us waiting!

If this is what you want when you’re dining in a restaurant, just go ahead and enjoy it!

We used to love this restaurant so much, but not any more! Me and my family ate there constantly for years and I even referred many of my coworkers. We went back last week and there was only one waitress who’s watching her phone and tv ALL THE TIME. Not to mention she completely MESSED UP our order. I used to love this place, but after a recent experience, I can no longer recommend them. I went with a friend who has an allergy to mushrooms. She ordered a dish that did not list them as an ingredient, and upon receiving the dish asked very nicely for it to be remade without them and clearly informed the waitress that it was a food allergy issue and that simply picking them out would not make the food safe for her to eat. The waitress was reluctant to take the food back and said she'd ask if they could remake it. A little while later (not long enough to remake it), she brought out the same dish with the mushrooms picked out. We inspected the food and discovered a mushroom they missed. Upon pointing out the mushroom to the waitress, she still insisted that it had been remade. If we hadn't been suspicious and checked the food, the night could well have ended with a hospital trip.
