Went in on a Saturday afternoon. This is business is owned by a woman and today she was also the barista. She is incredibly friendly and as I was chatting her up while she made my drinks, I learned that this has been a year and a half in the making (which makes sense because I've seen the sign outside for a long time). This is her dream business. The space is clean and atmosphere is nice. There's a few tables as well as a counter with stools. It's a small space but one whole wall is basically all window so it gets great light. The other folks there were quietly chatting.
The drinks! We got a iced horchata latte, hot chai latte, and a dulzura latte. I am no coffee snob but they were all delicious. The dulzura latte is the sweetest of the bunch. If you enjoy Starbucks drinks, this is the one for you. She also has some soft drinks and baked goods from a Mexican bakery in South Park. The prices are reasonable as well.
She does plan on expanding days once she gets more staff. There is no parking in front of the cafe. But ample of parking across the street.
Cash/venmo/cashapp only currently do plan accordingly. Try out this new cafe and see...
Read moreA small café with a personable owner who is attentive and easy to chat with. When I had the horchata latté, I had that moment of "where have you been all my life!" Decaf is an option. I'm not sure about dairy free though.
We came in with our 4 yo and Maria, the owner, was incredibly kind and her demeanor emphasized the family friendly feel of the place. The selection of pastries is limited, but it's great to find a place with tasty conchas. Dining in, the mugs used are all bright and colorful with designs that brought smiles to all of us.
What really won me over though was that they offer authentic Cuban sandwiches. They're so hard to find in this state, and I can't wait to update this review once I'm able to try one!
Definitely going to be visiting Café Dulzura on the regular, especially since all three of us got a pastry and a drink for under $20.
Including photos of more of their menu options since I haven't seen these in...

I sat with a friend for coffee on a rainy day and it was just the perfect place to be, the staff is incredibly welcoming and the place is perfectly cozy.
I found parking out front but otherwise you could park across the street and walk over. Soon there may be an...
