Absolutely fantastic little spot. Has to be one of the best kept secrets in Vermont, because if more people knew… this place would have to take over the town in order to have space for the people lining up to get in. The atmosphere is rad. They are so fun and welcoming at all times. No matter how busy they are. And they get BUSY… for good reason. With the tap room downstairs, it’s the perfect setup. Order yourself some awesome food then go downstairs and hang out while you wait. Very cool during the summer, with the outdoor seating.
Now the food… So many places claim to have “gourmet” pizza. Rarely does it deserve that title. The pizza that the owner, John and his crew, are pushing out of here is truly what you would call properly gourmet. Excellent ingredients. Excellent presentation. And the burgers… out of this world. Not dry. Not bland. So well balanced and worth every penny. I can not forget to mention the fresh cut fries! Was skeptical when a local told me they were the best… because I’ve had some really really good fresh cut fries… but these lived up to the hype. Lastly, if you’re a sauce enthusiast… it seems that John whips up most, if not all of the sauces here by hand. No boring store bought sauces here. Only the real deal.
You can tell that real passion goes into everything they make here. These guys and gals really have it figured out and I’ll be excited to see how they’ve grown, each time I’m...
Read moreI would give them a 5 star for the food if the pizza was cooked a bit longer but I did feel it was a tad under cooked making it rather messy since I got the one with maple syrup…. A little pricier than I anticipated but once I saw the size and of toppings on the large I could see why as it is huge and I’ll def be opting for a small next time. That being said the flavors were amazing and it’s a great wood fired crust and I still devoured a good amount even it being a little less crispy than my personal liking.:. Also the staff was sweet and helpful and were nice in explaining the restaurant in that Hazels the taproom is separate but that both could overlap . They gave me a buzzer so I could enjoy a beer while I waited. I’ll def be going back and trying...
Read moreAbsolute fire. I tried the pepperoni, sausage, and fries. The fries are shoestring style, and hand cut. They were super crispy so i'm guessing they take the extra step of blanching them. Both pies were fantastic, but the pepperoni was were it was at for me. Crust was crispy with the perfect amount of char. Not just good pizza for Vermont, but good pizza! Added bonus, the owners daughter makes some super cool bracelets that I picked up for my...
