Tuesday night. Sat at the bar. Overwhelmed server running the bar and tables, but friendly and doing his best. Food was slow to come and was cold when they served it. Wings were processed with heavy batter. Hamburger patty also processed yet bland. Fries were cold. Ketchup served in packets. Definitely a place you settle for if you're traveling and don't want to leave the hotel. Definitely motivated me to drive out and find a real restaurant for night 2 of my stay.

Here for breakfast. Buffet was expensive (25) so to save some $ I paid for the Continental and ordered 2 sides. Staff were nice enough to mute the TV which was showing mind numbing ads and the sound was clashing with the always excellent (sarcasm) Hotel muzak. Turns out their definition of Continental breakfast is different from the rest of the world so it ended up being less expensive just to pay the 25 buffet price. Minus 4 stars for the pricing shake down.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza and this restaurant is attached. It's really the closest food option if you don't want to trek about 15 min to the main strip. I had the wings one night, not bad, but I've had better. Did the breakfast in the morning. As someone mentioned the buffet is expensive, but for the US$25 + tax cost it winds up being cheaper than the rest of the options. Staff was friendly enough. It did the job but opted for DoorDash on last evening.

Not the finest Crowne Plaza/IHG restaurant I've experience. First, my serve was exceptional - Min. The bartender. He was funny, polite, efficient, attentive, hardworking and the type of bartender anyone should be proud of to have manning the bar.

I was totally stoked about the $10 Chandon half bottles - so stoked I had two. I also had a glass of rather mass produced white wine - well the entire list is. Made me laugh seeing a sign that stated "local wine" - as a wine writer I was like ........ whatever. Most of it was corporate stuff that you can find anywhere.... nothing localvore, but indeed, it's made from grapes in the Bay Area, so no false advertising, just crappy wine.

I ate total junk food. Happy hour (which I think lasted until 8 PM) potato skins which were fine (how can you screw those up?) and then I ordered chicken tenders and fries from the kids menu. Tenders were good, normal frozen and fried. The fries, sucked.

However, Min was great. I went to leave after 4 hours of being there, working on my laptop, and I felt bad leaving and not saying goodbye to him, but, he had stepped away from the bar for a moment.

Overall a "whatever" experience - but Min is great.

Oh, and for people into sports -...

Been here 10 minutes, have yet to even be acknowledged by the staff. One server seems to just keep aimlessly walking about while the other one runs frantically from table to table like a chicken with its head off. The menus in the rooms quote prices $2-3 less than what the bar has. Three men came in while I wrote this and were acknowledged and given water by a busser while I sit here seemingly ignored. I’m never wasting my time and money coming here again. Ordering Uber eats is faster and cheaper. Finally got a beer and got my food order in 15 minutes later, then he immediately hands me a receipt with it, it’s 7:40 and they don’t close till 9. This place is a mess. 13 tables full, one server actually working hard while the other seems to just wander in and out of the kitchen carrying menus, and the busser wanders about with a pitcher of water now and then. When I ordered my meal he seemed irritated that I wanted food and not just a beer. This place either needs a second server or to make the second server,...
