Great Food, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I’ve been in San Francisco every Thursday this month. Hating hotel food, I was looking for something local. This place looked promising. My 1st visit. The young guy at counter was rude and condescending towards me. Kept telling me everything they were out of. When I asked what they had, he could not answer. Was on his phone most of the time. Food was good. My 2nd visit. I see I could order online. Score! I can avoid the rude guy at the counter. I order, only to find out they don’t open until 4pm (it was 230pm. So, i place another order for after 4pm. I walk over to the restaurant to pick up my order. Same rude guy. I say I have an online order. He grabs a bag and tosses it at me. I ask about the coke I ordered and he hands me bottle of water and goes back to his phone. 3rd visit. (today). I decide to give it one more try. I really like their tamales from the 1st visit. I go over there at 4pm. The sign on the door says open. The same rude guy says he's closed. I ask what time they open, he said he didn’t know. But, I had to leave. The food is good (only reason it gets 2 stars). Not...
Read moreI read the previous reviews and have to comment, for those of you who were negative, I think you may be too picky. This place has amazing food! It's nothing to look at from the outside, but I'm sure this is a family run business and they take care in making some pretty great food, some obviously from scratch. I had the carne asada fajita combo and my wife had the super chicken quesadilla and a pork tamale. They only do take out right now, which was fine by us. I was hungry when I went in and hungrier leaving since we waited and smelled the wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen. Great mix of spices in the fajitas and homemade guacamole. Plenty of great food for a reasonable price. We have been traveling the 50 states and look for places like this. My hats off...
Read moreWe found this place while staying at Hyatt Regency next door. Ordered takeout from here 3 times during our 4 day stay. The place was not busy, but wait time after ordering was about 20 minutes. There's a good reason though, the food is cooked fresh. We ordered carne asada and al pastor tacos, asada tortas, and shrimp burrito. All dishes were really good to our taste.
The only complain I have is about the young gentleman at the counter taking the orders. He needs to improve his customer relations skills by a lot. I had read other reviews here and was already expecting a sour experience at the counter. We still decided to get takeout from here instead of the not so good and expensive food...
