I went because my mom wanted waterice and we kept putting it off. When we get there, the lightskin girl at the counter (we went around 5pm last weekend) didn't seem like she wanted to even be there. I ordered a gelati (only speaking on mine since that's where my issue lies) in which Rita's ALWAYS makes them five layers and boasts about them being different compared to the traditional three. I watched her make it initially, but got distracted as my parents noted she had a visible attitude the entire time and spoke to each other about it. We didn't even touch them that day, so they stayed in the freezer. As of the time of me posting this, if five layers is the standard, then please explain to me why when I'm eating my gelati and there are only three layers (with barely any icecream)??? I understand you may not like the job you choose, but for the price of Rita's, this is unacceptable. And I wouldn't have come there if my mom didn't prefer there waterice, as the shop across from the Virtua makes them better. It's my first time in 2 years or so going to this Rita's, and the customer service and product quality were terrible. I'm only giving two stars even now SOLELY because my parents got regular waterice (which you fundamentally shouldn't be able to mess up) and said they were okay. Please do better.
Edit: If the establishment is saying that there's an upgraded version, cool, except they missed the part I said she had an attitude and didn't even bother offering that (because we'd have gladly paid), or even mentioning the quart special because we ordered that, too (which we only seen on our way out). The attitude of your location's people are a missed money opportunity to get more in sales, at that point, if they aren't even willing to make mention it's a possible upgrade or alternative. My fact still stands that the nasty, unpleasant looks and tone...
Read moreI try to support the local spots but today I had a bad experience. After waiting, what seemed like forever, 1 person worked one window with 4 families in line in the sun while the other lady did something else (?) My $3 icee was half liquid and so messy the customer behind me cleaned the counter. The custard was literally 1/2 cup and the smallest I’ve ever seen. Total came to $9 so for the first time I asked for a receipt and saw the custard was almost $6!!!!!! The person I bought it for said OMG….. why is this so small. 😡 Yes…….I could’ve declined the custard, requested a new icee or asked to speak to someone but out of respect for the other families I left....
Read moreI'm learning that each Rita's I go to is a tiny bit different😮 I forgot to ask what the unicorn flavor was (gun light purple or bubble gum 😝) buy that seemed interesting, but loved the different options they had. There was an ice cream sandwich and a "ice cream flight" which I thought was mad cute (someone got custard on there's which made it cuter) The custard options included orange cream too (was okay at first but it grew on me ) I had it with island fusion and it...
