Adrian's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Burlington

I went to Adrian's on 6/29/18 for the first time this season. Let me first say that my husband (and children when they were younger) and I would travel 40 minutes approx. once a week during the season for Adrian's for the last 19 years. On 6/29, we ordered a "Turtle Sundae" and "The Adrian Special." It was not (at all) what we were used to. My husband ordered and paid for extra caramel and hot fudge toppings on his sundae and he commented that it was just a line across the top and not much of it. My "Adrian Special" that I always thought was truly special, was just okay. As of last summer, the "Adrian Special" filled the entire cup and then there was a mound of whipped cream that topped it off and a cherry at the very peak. The presentation used to be (almost) as good as the taste!!! Last night, it had three 1" lines of whipped cream, no cherry and it really looked sad and didn't taste as good. I want to give the local business a better rating but unfortunately the quality of the product doesn't deserve it. Flavor of the day here was just OK it wasn't filled with the toppings as you'd expect. A sundae will likely be unimpressive. Compared to the two other "chain" ice cream places in town this one unfortunately ranks last. Giving a star back because the staff seems to be in a fairly good mood when I've encountered them.

Bottom line - You'll likely wait longer, you'll pay about the same, and you won't be able to use a credit card, and that's for an inferior product.

Who doesn't love custard???? Ok, some people don't, and that's ok. But I certainly do! This is my go to place for custard and in my opinion, blows Culver's away. It is very reasonably priced for the amount you get and it tastes incredible. I wish they had smaller size options for their specialty sundaes because after I engorge myself at Fred's Burgers across the tracks, I find it sometimes tough to finish it all.
