I saw a recommendation for this restaurant when I was searching for restaurants with the best biscuits and gravy so I decided to try it. First, I called to make sure it was available and was told they'd check to see if they had any gravy, to which they said they did. Upon arrival, I mentioned that I had called to make sure they had biscuits and gravy, and they remembered my calling them. When my order arrived, the gravy was extremely thick, had no flavor, and was lukewarm at best. There was very little sausage in the gravy. The biscuit must have been warmed over from the day before as it was barely edible. Since it looked so bad when it was served to me, I quickly ordered another breakfast dish of fried egg with hashbrowns. That dish was ok, and at least hot. I asked for a box to put the biscuit and gravy in as I didn't want to hurt their feelings by not eating more than 2 bites. Fortunately, there was a trash can outside the door, which is where I deposited the container with the biscuit and gravy.

Maybe if it had been fresh, it would have been better, but that's merely giving them the benefit of doubt. I absolutely would NOT recommend this place for good old biscuits and gravy. It was a very disappointing experience, and I will not be giving them a...

This place is outstanding! It's easily my favorite place to eat in town. The waitresses/cooks are super friendly and down to earth and do a great job of taking care of everything you could ever want in a meal. Jerry's has been in business for 75 plus years so that's a testament to the love is patrons have had for it over the years. They have a very large menu of home cooked items and many "down home" dishes you just don't see anywhere else.

To be quite honest the ONLY flaw is the lack of abundance in seating but that's kind if the allure of a diner of this age. You just have to be patient and willing to possibly sit right next to someone you don't know. This fuels my reluctance to sing its praises too high.... cause I don't want the secret of how great it is to get out and I don't have a seat next time😄😄😄 But seriously, if you're in the area give this place a try. It's like going back in time for a meal.

Keep up the strong work...

This is the oldest diner in Burlington and there's reason why they're still around. I feel like if you looked up the term "Hole-in-the-wall" you'd find a photo of Jerry's Main Lunch. Yes, it's not much of a looker, but this little spot is something special and definitely worth a visit. You walk in and there's a counter with stools, behind the counter is the flattop and basically the kitchen. The lovely woman that greeted me, waited on me literally cooked my Elk Burger (Locally Raised) right in front of me! I would have asked about some of the history but I was a bit too shy this time. I guess that just means I have to come back and try the breakfast!

A nice place to have brunch. It’s a nice little place tucked away in one corner. It’s near Burlington train station. It has an elaborate menu. There are no tables and chairs. It’s counter service. They have about 10 bar counter chairs to sit and enjoy the meal. The meal is cooked right in front of you. The place is not expensive. The service is a bit slow as they cook it fresh in front of you and it takes time. The staff is very friendly and polite.
