Stopped here to get pizza before going to a movie. We wanted to go to a 6:40 show and arrived at Napoli at 5:45, thought this was plenty of time for a dinner. We barely made a 7:15 show.
When we walked in, we notices that the restaurant is very dirty. Not just dirty from the days service, but years of accumulated filth. When you walk I. There is not signage to seat yourself or to wait had to ask.
Once seated it was probably 20 to 30 minutes before our full order was taken. This was confusing as we saw 4 different waitresses working what seemed to be a restaurant that wasn't extremely busy.
We finally relieved our food and the waitress didn't know where to set the pizzas. This is a pizza place after all. We had the cheeseburger pizza and supreme pizza. When we received our pizzas they were way to hot to eat, we had to wait 5 to 10inutes for each piece to cool down, meanwhile we missed our movie time.
The pizzas we not very good, you are better off going yo pizza hut, dominoes, papa johns, casey's or buying frozen. There is no sauce on the pizza, the crust tastes like chef boyard and the toppings lacked flavor.
I think locals like this place. These locals appearenty have not taste for food, not sure the same locals ever leave burlington. During our time there we did aee the owner l/chef l, not sure which, stop and talk to so.e custo.wrs. he didn't talk to us as we are not local. I believe I even saw a custo m er walk back behind the counter, which into me is unacceptable. That area should be clean and outsiders should not be allowed, whether they are know we spent $55 on a large pizza, a small pizza and a small appetizer. I would rather spend $55 on fast food. We will never be back, in my opinion this place is garbage. For anyone who is from out of town do not eat here. Let the locals...
Read moreWe went on a Saturday at 5:30 for dinner; parking in the area was at a premium. Both the Capitol and the Art Center had things going on, as well as other areas on Jefferson. Walking into the restaurant, there is a front area of tables (some empty, but with "reserved" tabs on them). I've read from other reviews that this is the kind of place that you just walk in & sit down, you won't be seated here. What I didn't know is there's a whole back area of booths to sit at, past the kitchen. So me and a bunch of other people that came in after I did stood around awkwardly until someone figured this out. Once seated, it went well. Service was on point, and the onion rings appetizer was really good. The pizza was doughy but tasty, and the hamburger and seafood platter was also good. The 'Bosco fries' were cheese-stuffed garlic breadsticks, and tasty. A good place to go. Reasonably priced, with quality food. Obviously a popular place with the locals, the takeout was nearly constant with people coming and going. They take cards as well, which is good to know. I'd recommend making reservations if you can. I plan on going back again to try something different on...
Read moreFirst of all, the lady behind the counter never greeted us. I was with my daughter picking up an order we called in. Second, they only take cash! In this digital age, they only take cash! Next, when the lady gave me my change, instead of handing it to me, she dropped it onto the counter next to where my hand was. Never apologizing. Very rude and unacceptable. Lastly, when we got home, we started to eat our dinner, and it was absolutely horrible. The pizza I got tasted absolutely disgusting! My wife had a sandwich, and she spit it out and asked me to try a bite. It was disgusting too. I can not believe people told us to come here. We have never been back since, and some folks I have talked with have had a change of heart too. Absolutely the worst food and service I have ever received, and I have been all over the world. Suggestion, save your money and time, and...
