Every detail is on display at this unique establishment. Custom timber frame pergola, live edge cedar slab bench top, reclaimed Sequoia (redwood) Pier from San Francisco turned into a huge custom table and matching benches. Oh yeah, and the food was stellar! Fresh Raw oysters, grilled oysters on the half shell with a variety of flavor toppings. Small plates of cheese and meats were generous, grilled paninis, and the soup specials were on point! Sat in the sun on there back patio overlooking the slough and had a great sunny afternoon with friends. All kinds of to go items available for foodies of all types when it's time...

This is a darling little place on the slough, great drinks and light food fare, the downside candidly is the owner. He is intense and each time I've visited he has been gruff and acted like I was imposing by ordering. He literally grabbed indoor menus out of my hands as I was headed outside to the deck, saying there were outdoor menus outside. As I was coming in the door, he charged past me with someones food, without saying excuse me or thank you for holding the door. One would expect more of an owner. He contributes to the hesitation I feel with wanting to go back again to this place that has so...

That was the best gosh dang darndest sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my whole mama trucking life. That there panini and grilled cheesy thing changed my perspective on this here planet earth AND IVE EATEN ALOT OF SANDWICHES. As I was driving through this GORGEOUS lil town I laid my eyes upon this BEAUTY of a restaurant hidden away in the heart of my great great grand papi’s town, ol Edison. And anyhow I sat down in their outdoor seating area and the NICEST LIL LADY took our order and MY OH MY like I said before I will NEVER be the same after eating that...

Slough Food is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable experience. The service, led by the incredible R. John and Jamie, is impeccable, making every guest feel truly welcomed. The outside natural setting overlooking the slough adds a magical touch, creating moments that are truly special. Every month, they serve a paella that is beyond worth it! Sipping a glass of bubbles, indulging in small plates, and connecting with people at Slough Food is a spectacular experience that goes above and beyond in every way!

This is a great place to stop for curated gourmet snacks and wine, if you’re in the Bow or Edison area! The people that work here are super friendly and knowledgeable. (I got some truffle butter there that’s amazing, as well as a stellar bottle of wine.) They also have food service - there’s the option for charcuterie plates, sandwiches and wine in the back, with outdoor dining that overlooks the slough and nearby farms… We’ll have to try that next time we are in the area.

What a wonderful rustic place! It was so eclectic and cute, we just loved it. The outdoor seating varies, some more protected with heaters, some right in front of the slough. The view of the slough with farmland is just beautiful and there were green-winged teal ducks all over, so fun to watch. We had the meat and cheese plate with a wonderful local wine. And the staff was so so nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a wonderful afternoon hanging out here.
